I could cackle at hearing David Dobrik saying " consent " is " so important " to him but it's really just depressing. something I wonder about a lot whenever allegations like this come up against major KZbinrs is when/if they ever face any actual legal repercussions? Like some of these guys are doing stuff that could put them in jail, but do they legally get away with it because the victims aren't pressing charges? It just seems like there's only the court of public opinion on KZbin, but rape, providing alcohol to minors, etc. are legitimate crimes

There is this weird pull that David has over people where he just talks and laughs and even if you don't like what he's saying, you cant help but smile. It's why I used to watch his videos. I didn't like half of the people in them bc they made creepy jokes but then David would say something and suddenly is was all ok. Even watching some of the clips in this video of him talking about the "threesome" I inadvertently smiled bc something about him just is so manipulative and ingrained in my brain that I automatically cant help but like him. Totally agree that David’s second apology was better but you never can know if he wanted to say this or his lawyers wanted him to. He’s been quite cruel on the VIEWS podcast where he has full reign over what he says and I think that shows his real personality. Scotty’s video was awful - clearly his truth and victim blaming without his manager telling him to stop. Jeff’s video and call in to the Frenemies podcast was awful. He took the story away from the victim and said that Trisha was putting his name through the dirt when it wasn’t really about either of them. The frenemies podcast had a photo of him there at 1:30am and his story didn’t add up and because that was a live stream he was speechless and couldn’t answer in a way that looked good to him. He got caught lying. I hate how Jeff would say he believes the victim but the story is fake. He says he would never allow this to happen but he blames Trisha for being crazy, said because of her sexual nature he thought she was a crazy liar. He blames Trisha’s sexual personality for everything that’s happened to her “when I first met you you flashed me.” and slut shames and victim blames on everything. I think he’s shown that these guys are all kissed at losing sponsors. Trisha says that Todd won’t speak bc he doesn’t do anything, so he has no sponsors to lose which I think is so TRUE. god these boys suck.

He used the classic-stereotypical-racist-mocking depiction of the Chinese language(s)/accent in order to ‘joke around’ about the Japanese language.. He fucking used the racist stereotype used to MOCK the Chinese in regards to a whole different country, different language, different culture, and did so to “be funny” and “a goofball.” 🤦🏻♀️ Talking in that specific “accent,” if it can even be called such, is already extremely and inherently racist when it’s being used to mock the correct Asian culture.. using this same superbly-poor-mimicry to illicit laughter to reference, rather flat-out stereotype, a whole different country, different culture, and different language is disgustingly disrespectful of both languages. He not only mocked both languages by using one’s stereotyped accent/language/gibberish (I say gibberish Bc it is literally gibberish attempted to sound like traditional Chinese or Cantonese. All the Traditional Chinese, Cantonese, and Japanese languages are not gibberish they’re just languages we, non-natives to those two countries ðnicities, don’t understand/speak. Anyhoooo…..) he basically implied that in his mind the greatly varying vast countries of Asia are all the same; it implies that at the least speakers of differing Asian languages all sound the same to David. They all sound like the mocking gibberish. Whether he meant to convey that or not doesn’t matter because that’s exactly what he did. It wasn’t a funny “joke.” Our society as a whole sees that specific stereotype, stereotypes and these types of “jokes” in general, as nothing but racist. Even if David claims to not feel these ways he has still attempted to illicit laughter/views ($$$MONEY$$$) by using insensitive-uncultured-racist material. I don’t feel that anymore explanation is needed as to why it isn’t funny but rather is just racist &therefore is socially dangerous. That particular snippet, out of the many racist moments in the video of him and his female co-star pretending to eat Japanese food-possibly Americanized versions of popular Japanese foods????- was just.. the layers of racism made my thumbs go crazy on the keyboard. Lmao. I will never be convinced that mf’ doesn’t know exactly what he’s doing when he says that shit. He knew he was being racist AS FUCK. It’s extremely well known that is a stereotype. It doesn’t take a fuckkng genius to realize that it doesn’t matter how you meant it to come across it will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be a racist mockery of Asian, specifically Chinese regarding the gibberish mocking Cantonese or Traditional Chinese language(s.) The intentions, the context, behind using this, or any ,stereotype is irrelevant. All stereotypes of any type will always be inherently racist! Theyre a prime medium for spreading misinformation- among the other ingredients needed to make the systemic-racism-individual-prejudices cocktail that America has been sipping on for yeeeeeaaaaarrrssss. To think he genuinely thought it was a funny joke with no racist implications etc is quite outlandish to say the least! It’s implications are obviously racist. On the surface level it is, AGAIN, obviously racist.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ (Anyone who actually read this you a FUCKING MVP FO’ REAL!!!! You the real one bc you took time out of yo’ day out of yo’ life to read my 2+ paragraphs analyzing less than ten seconds of the video, one small small piece of the HUGE

Maybe I'm just getting old now but you play stupid games you win stupid prizes. Being associated with someone that humiliates others for views it's only a matter of time before it happens to you too. It's not fair but life isn't fair. Tough lesson to learn but there you go. Keep up the good work uncle, love your vids

Bruh, recently I watched a video of David and his friends making horrible jokes about Gabbie Hanna and I felt so disgusted I mean I don't like Gabbie or anything but she was treated so bad. I wonder why people followed this guy, I never watched his content but everyone talked so good about him in the past that I thought he made good videos. Thank god I never followed this guy

I used to be a fan of David and his Vlogs for a bit, I however slowly stopped watching him - or rather just grew out of it - but what first made me stop watching was when that vlog of Brandon and the underage girlfriend are shown and they talk about having sex (whether it was real or not) David being an apologist for this kind of behavior just rubbed me the wrong way. With all of this coming out, I’m glad he’s being held accountable
