Amazing explanation. This is the best video exposing PIP. This is about the fifth video but the first video that make me believe that I could actually do it.

I love making cheescakes in my Instant Pot. They are really good, and a 6" cake is so much better for us than a giant 9" or 10" cake. That is just entirely too much cake. It's fantastic for rice and steamed veggies. Great to see you Urvashi!

I think another advantage is thickeners. If you cook pot-in-pot the thickener won't burn onto the bottom, so you can add normal thickeners.

I've seen some 48oz and 64 oz "ramekins" that look like they stack similar to the Asian metal inserts - though without a sling (you'd have to work that situation out). Has anyone tried to stack those? Some of them measure 7.5" x 3 or so, so seem like they'd work - and the ramekins sit only a tiny bit below the rim of the one below it - have a little shelf below the rim. I think ramekins are prettier and could be used as serving bowls/casserole dishes. Some ads say you can make cakes in them, too. Anyone tried this before I waste money trying it out myself?

I try to cook PIP for rice since I’m cooking only 1/2 cup at a time. Do 1:1 rice to water and cook 6 minutes but it comes out gooey even tho I rinse rice first There is 1.5 cup water in bottom of pot. Should I use less water in container with the rice
