A Compost Conundrum

The People's Court

The People's Court

Күн бұрын

The plaintiff built two composting receptacles on the defendant's property. However, the defendant failed to pay the plaintiff and threw away some of his tools, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff built the composting receptacles for the community and just used her property as a storage area. The defendant is countersuing for the cost to fix the damages to the side of her house.

@@Aura983 It is an interesting tactic in the law, which is when someone sues you, you automatically sue them back, especially in a case where you are being sued frivolously. If someone sues you for something you know not to be true, you start thinking to yourself, what did they do in this particular escapade? If he had just washed his hands of the whole thing and racked it up for his own inaction, she would have simply washed her hands of all the things she didn't like. Although, you only have to deal with the civil law a little, and you learn really quick you can't sue and win for most things, especially the time to sue or defend yourself from a suite, that's just life.

Thank you I was thinking that must be the case but I'm not medically trained. The fact he got on his bike and into a swimming pool the day after surgery shows he can no longer think clearly. I had major surgery on my wrist earlier this year. I wasn't allowed to get my wound wet for a fortnight, and only after a nurse had removed the dressings and a registrar had examined the wound. That has been the same for all of the surgeries on my wrist. He wouldn't have been able to check a wound on top of his head for infection and I doubt he went for aftercare.

@@stacybstacyb I agree with you. Sometimes I don't like Judge Mathis cases because most are 7 to 10 minutes long. I don't mind a long case if it's a lot of information but it's the same thing over and over. I still love my court shows and wasn't trying to complain. My head just hurt from both litigants.

I live on 8 acres in the woods. All my peelings I put out for any critters that come by. Eat a lot of veggies and fruits. I see fox, coyote, rabbits, squirrels, deer, falcons and many birds-even a bear siting 1 mile away. Composting is stinky and nasty no matter where you put it. Not a fan of composting.

I wish the judge would just call out the plaintiff as a scammer. Defendant was such a sweetheart, maybe a pushover and he just took advantage.

We all have known a Scott in our lifetime 🙄😂. I feel she should have gotten something more for all his weird and somewhat harassing texts. He is a walking red flag
