Today I show off the collected editions of New Mutants in trades, oversized Hardcovers and Omnibus editions. Collecting material from 1982 to 1991. I do a deep look as to what the content of the books and talk about what the reading order should be. I also suggest where to start reading Cable for new readers. I have been having New Mutants read-a-thon for the last month, and man... I have to say that it is one of the best comic read I've ever experienced. Especially the mid-run of the first series written by Louise Simonson and drawn by Brett Blevins. Man, I love Illyana. Thanks for these videos, by the way. They are extremely helpful!

love this! new mutants is sooo good...wish we were getting omnis to fill in the gaps in the xmen omnis... its a little cliche but demonbear saga IS the best. when i was a kid i didnt like Bills art work (i was like 9 when i first saw it a few years after it came out...so wtf did i know) but the demon bear covers and the the title page of NM# 18 where Dani is hiding under the covers with the image of the demon bear on it was so cool. HATE that the NM movie has been shelved... loved the idea of x movies with a different feel (horror) knowing their powers it totally makes sense that an origin movie of the NM SHOULD be a horror story. it wouldn't have to stay a horror franchise but would have been so cool to start out that way and try something different in feel...SUCH A WASTE no suggestions on the next one...sorry not helpful but keep doing them :)

The Marvel Epic collections just show how Marvel is doing the archives right. I'm not big on the older material unless the story was memorable and I care to revisit stuff. MagiK was cool but I would't get an Epic just for a mini. I will say my ocd freaks me out when Epic releases material out of order. I like stuff in sequential order. If Marvel stopped doing Epics suddenly I would be left hanging so I guess as long as they complete the orders..... Omar you are a literal walking comic encyclopedia! Never mind the marvel mutants you have such a handle on everything comic related it's almost scary. 30 years ago I thought I was a geek for knowing as much as I did about comics. But compared to you I realize my knowledge is only a small drop!

Great overview of the original 100 issue run of New Mutants. Marvel puts this stuff out as a convaluted mess and your videos are a great way to see how it is all printed. Marvel should be paying you or at least comping you omnis or a few Epic Collections, brother. They could not ask for better advertising.

Great video, man. My favorite is the Claremont era: the graphic novel, issues 1 - 54, the first 3 annuals, and the Magik mini-series. I think it's one of the best mainstream superhero comics ever made. In many ways, it's as good as his Uncanny X-Men. For those who love the Claremont stuff, he did a follow-up non-canon mini-series back in 2010 called New Mutants Forever.

Great video and very good job. I love New Mutants! I love X-Force! And, of course, I love Lifeld's work no matte what people say. Actually I can not understand this hate for him, the guy did an excelent job in Marvel Comics and I remember everybody enjoying his work in 90's. I have the first volume of the Fall Of The Mutants tpb witch collects the lead up and the tie ins for The New Mutants & The Uncanny X-Men plus a Incredible Hulk issue with the Grey Hulk reflection in Wolverines claws witch is an awesome addition to the event. But I originally got it for the Uncanny X-Men stuff but I was surprised by The New Mutants issues and how interesting the story was, because the whole Fall Of The Mutants arc even though it wasn't a story flowing through the titles it was a shift for the X-Men at the time. And I think it was well done

Yes, there are sooo many awesome stories in the Wolvie series. Birdbrain was designed by Brett Blevins. The lack of guns should have given that away. :)

Yep and a really cool media satire by Ann Nocenti. It’s so weird. Isn’t the NM omni the most requested by Riley’s group? Why does the collections department at Marvel continue to pump out creator-centric stuff like the Liefeld one? Just give us 70s/80s/90s series up the ying yang. NM, Excalibur, Gen X, finish off Claremont (I’m an X-nut). Ghost Rider, Peter David Hulk, Hama Wolverine, Stern Avengers. Why doesn’t Marvel just hire me?! Lol

I have desided to order the new mutants vol 1 and 2 today to add more story to my x men collection. reading the milestones got me more intrested in reading about them. the only one I'm not interested in is x force I don't know why but they don't interest me. now I will have 4 of the 5 titles of x men. x men, x factor, new mutants, wolverine and then the milestones. then there is the extra books like inferno crossover, and cables crossing, and onslaught aftermath lots of reading thank you for all the entertainment.keep up the good work and stay safe!
