I am so glad to hear you say you love clothes because so do I. Like I have told you before I am 83 and at this time in my life I buy what I like. I buy most from stores that are not expensive and mostly on sale at high end shops. I too, grew up very poor and most of my clothes came from thrift stores or homemade: some from feed sacks. I purge my closet pretty often and donate to St Vincent de Paul which gives to the homeless.

I’m commenting a lot today! To be truthful, rather on the lonely side, but you precious ladies on this channel I can tell are wonderful! I admire you! You donate your clothes!! I to have a lot of mine, and I want to a lot more, especially the more ‘professional ‘ type ones I wore when I worked. I mean, ladies still work like in offices or department type places right?? Gee, I don’t even know anymore!!🥴My home was damaged by a tornado in 2016, to damaged to be livable. I was able to get a roof back on it, and windows put back, but that’s all. I gave it to my daughter, and she is very slowly begin my repairs on it. But it’s been stir up all this time, and what clothes wasn’t destroyed, and there’s still a lot, is stinky, but fine! I can’t give them away until I get them washed. Dry cleaning didn’t help! And cost so much the few things I took. So those beautiful expensive clothes are just there. So Frustrating when I know that there are ladies out there that could use them . God bless🙏🙏🙏🙏❣️

@@janledford3010 I had a house fire about 6 years ago and washed all my clothes in white vinegar! They were in a closet away from the fire and didn't get smoked up but had that fire smell. I poured a cup of vinegar in washer along with my Tide and it worked great! Good luck with yours!

Thank You for the Chico's fashion show! They should hire you as a model! I've shopped at Chico's for years. It seems they went through a period of having 'cheaper' feeling fabrics and variations in sizes, I think they may have got that little issue fixed! A few tips......I've always been extremely cold natured. I ALWAYS have a scarf that is big enough to use as a wrap, if necessary. A few of my friends have even mentioned that they took that 'cue' from me and also try to make sure they have a 'wrap'. Also, we have two of those ugly old rain jackets that fold up into their own pocket, in each car, and yes, I have had to pull one out to wear over something nice, because it was too wet or cold! In the winter, or inclement weather, if we are going in to town (Houston) to the theater or something, I often put socks and boots or walking shoes in the trunk, just incase we had to be out in the weather.

I do the same with beautiful scarves or triangular fabric wraps. They always elevate whatever I am wearing and give me a little warmth especially in the air conditioning.I live in the south too and sometimes the ac is just too much for me . I am also a Cynthia. I edited this to comment on your “ going into town” I would have known you were from the south by that. Other parts of the country go into the city I live in Louisiana so town it is.

Beautiful pieces Patti, I love clothes too.I have slowed down since I retired ,but still like to purchase cute tops and leggings, and a handbag it least once a year. I have plenty so, I donate things from my closet to friend’s and family three times a year,so my closet doesn’t get too crowded. I am from a large family,so we mostly wore hand me downs too. So I too think that’s why after my daughters grew up and I had extra money, I started buying nicer and more clothes,shoes,jewelry. I look at it this way now, why not enjoy the rest of my years and buy what I want,with in reason. That’s where I bought all my nursing scrubs when we were allowed to wear colors and scrubs as opposed to white. Love their scrubs. The last time I went in their store the first place I went was to look at the scrubs, my late hubby said,” babe you retired 4 yrs ago!” I still liked to look!! You can’t wear out Chico clothes. They last. I never dry my clothes in the dryer but steam if necessary.

Love this video Patti! I LOVE white button down shirts! And I love linen tops also! I have the same love for clothes and I too connect it back to my childhood! Very poor, had to wash my 2 outfits at night and crossed my fingers they would be dry by morning! Sometimes they were not but I had to wear them anyway! Clothes make me happy❤️

Hi Patti- thanks so much for this video. I am 64 and love your style. I too grew up poor, being passed around to different foster families as I was growing up. I had nothing in high school, I had to find my prom dresses at the flea market. So maybe that's why I love my clothes and shoes as well! I now work from home, so I donated all of my dressy work clothes to a womans shelter. Cute tops for working from home, and cute "comfy" shoes are my only remaining vices. I agree with your past video on the top 10 items you no longer buy. I am no longer buying lip sticks as I have a drawer full, and rarely were them as we are still wearing masks. I only buy shoes once in a while as I probably have more than a 100 pair! I'm not kidding, I was addicted to shoes. Craft supplies I still buy as I had advice from my aunt- "stock up on your supplies while you are still working". Thanks so much for great videos. You are just a beautiful woman.
