These are good because we are listening to the language in context. Rinse and repeat on these.

www.siopagaeilge.ie/products/an-biobla-naofa An Siopa Gaeilge is a great bookshop to order from. The shipping might be a little costly, not unfairly so but just considering the distance.

Oh my! I would love one, too ..25? years ago, I had ordered a gaelic Bible.. through a man's book store... he looked up one, on his personal choice to help me... well--- it arrived months LATER, at my house, wrapped in WATERPROOF packaging 😳, and, had been shipped by sea...then-- I found out that it was scotish gaelic 😲🙃😵💫... and not irish.. it had cost a lot, too... but, I can't remember now.. but, having NOT come by air, had made it cheaper... I had to give many language books away, after I got divorced.. I want to try again, for irish..

ísiltír - Iseldiroedd (Cymraeg) literally: lowlands as a Bheurla. Is as an Ísiltír mo ghrá, Belgium to be more precise. As her English is so good, better than mine, le cinnt, it's quite difficult to persuade her to teach me Dutch!

It would really good to slow down this speech so that at least my brain could process the words and pronunciation. A bit like me using slow down software when I am learning tunes on my feadog or píopaí uilleann !

Yes, there is this theory that certain basic words for animals were borrowed by Proto-Balto-Slavic from Proto-Celtic when there was extensive contact between those two groups in Central Europe (ancient Celts and Balto-Slavs had very similar ways of life in harmony with nature btw.). E.g. the word for "cow": "From Proto-Balto-Slavic *kárˀwāˀ, irregular centum reflex of Proto-Indo-European *ḱorh₂-weh₂, from *ḱerh₂- (“head, top; horn”). Matasović (2008) argues that it was borrowed from Celtic in prehistorical times due to the impossibility of deriving it by regular sound laws: PIE *ḱerh₂weh₂ > Proto-Celtic *kerawā > *karawā (Joseph's rule) > Early Proto-Slavic *karwā > Common Slavic *kőrva."

Please translate into English, otherwise, this is “just cool,” but not very helpful! I want not just hear Irish; but, speak it.
