Great interview! Demonaz is immortal to me! I’ve got the new album vinyl on preorder so I’m glad he waited to be able to put it out with a vinyl version, I’ve loved the last releases even more than some older immortal, sounds like a great guy, living the ideal mountain life! I recently came back from Bergen and was walking around mount ulriken with pure holocaust in my ears.

Awesome interview Andrew! Demonaz is probably (intentionally!) cagey on details - do you understand him to mean that Immortal now once again has a complete lineup? a permanent new bassist and drummer or session guys and perhaps live session guys? I'd love Immortal to be a band again, not just - as admittedly as awesome as it is - just Demonaz writing songs and getting different people to record it and/or reproduce it live, which is essentially a solo project.

Thx mate! I think it’s the Demonaz show with hired guns, such as the drummer the producer recommended and maybe Ivan from Enslaved on bass, at least, I think that’s what he meant. I just hope Demonaz recruits the live band again after that meeting in Bergen, I’d love to see it!

As strange as it is to say, Abbath leaving immortal was probably the best thing to happen to Immortal in recent history. They immediately went back to their roots.
