So i think he said about that friends part just to throw them off. I mean just look at the body language especially hers. She´s all over him. For example when she said we are gonna find you the most fabulous gf ever her complete body was close to the camera which is an sign for i´m that girl. Another thing is about the xmas-tree. She said he needs a girl who´s gonna tell him to buy one and he said she was the one who told him to buy one. Only if she didn’t sign a waiver. A lot of employees have to do this, and it’s completely legal. You don’t retain all your rights under private employment, especially if you sign them over.
