This is my favourite so far on this channel. I loved how he talked about his village neighbourhood, his work here totally respects its location and environment, despite being so progressive, it fits in perfectly. And he has injected glamour - that kitchen! the gallery! the sweeping staircase! - and a few old pieces and a bit of history which many modern architects seem to reject. It’s a spectacular yet incredibly liveable home.

This design and everything about it is so beautiful it almost makes me want to cry. It feels warm and cozy, yet sexy and sophisticated. It appears to be quite modern with lines but the brass in the perfect places makes this house like it is an absolute classic; a kind of little black dress or the ever elegant pearl necklace. My god, when that shot with the doors open to the rooms were shown, I don't even have words for it. The curation of the art on the walls and what are displayed on the surfaces are just absolutely stunning beyond words. I could walk through every part and feel like I had the most sumptous meal. Gorgeous house, I love the stone floors they are absolutely beautiful. And that spiral stair case!! WOW!! Absolutely AMAZING!! I'm not keen on the brass trim around the doors, but it did work very nicely for the river base and the kitchen island. Fantastic overall design though, really nice.
