I bought myself one of those HIFU machines with RF function for home and the day I started using that thing, my acne completely went away. An I've been trying everything for ages to get it to disappear. Highly recommend!

Another great video and love seeing Tika! 🥰 Any dental work is super expensive even with insurance (in the US) but so worth it- a smile lasts a lifetime. Rain and coffee- what's not to love?! Love ya Melissa! 🌴🦩☺️❤️😊🥰☀️

I delt with horrendous hormonal acne for 4 years straight and it was the most self esteem crushing experience I've ever had--I tried literally every product on the market, went to a Dermatologist dozens of times and was started on Bactrim and Tretinoin but sadly it did not clear everything up even after a year of being in a routine with it. The ONLY thing that has cleared my face literally within a week is FLO and it has kept it clear for months now. I know its easy to feel uncomfortable with your reflection in the mirror during these breakouts but I just wanted to say that when I watch your videos I just think how stunning you are the entire time! I'm sorry you're struggling because I truly do know how it makes you feel. Good luck and keep fighting, I love you and your videos❤

Sometimes getting rid of dairy can help clear up the skin. I also have PCOS and giving up dairy has definitely helped clear up my skin.

hey girl tret purge can sometimes last 6 weeks for drugstore strength and prescription strength can be 3-4 months but everyones different ! You could either use it less to make the purge slow down and not be as bad but itll take longer to get through it or you can keep pushing through because it does get better! but also remember some peoples skin do not like tret! Best thing to do is hydrate, try to limit pore clogging and irritating ingredients and also DO NOT add in any other new skincare or even makeup (if makeup breaks u out) until your through the purging stage. this will help u so u dont get confused if ur still purging or not. Also I recommend all my patients (I'm a medical aesthetician) to take daily/weekly photos of their skin to help compare and look back on through the skin journey. It can help if ur having a bad skin day and think its getting worse and then u look back and realize its actually not as bad as it use to be! Body dysmorphia can effect our image of our skin too so somethings we see things as way worse then it actually is- this is coming from personal experience bc I've been dealing with bad breakouts for 2 years around my mouth, chin/jaw and alittle on my forehead and finally got it under control! If you need any help/advice or just want to chat my esthetics insta is TaylorLee.Esthetics !

It took me about 3 months to fully adjust to tretinoin but it was fully worth it. Don’t get me wrong, I get the odd breakout but honestly, nothing has changed my skin as much as that has!! The purging is just the worst of it but then it improves!😊

it worked for me as well, took about 5 months tho

From personally experience … your skin gets worse before better on Tretinoin . It does get better… but the purge is no joke!

Also hang in there with the retinol. It is known to cause your skin to react when you first start using it. You will experience some dryness and some break out reactivity, but retinol is an amazing product and when you stick with it you will begin to see wonderful results. I’ve been using it for a year and a half and I haven’t had a single break out.

Have you ever heard of Oil Pulling?? There are SO many benefits including whitening 😃
@user-gj8ri2vt6p2 жыл бұрын
When I first tried Tretinoin it was the worst experience ever- it made my skin flakey, red, dry, hyper-pigmented, and the breakouts didn’t change much. I did purge too but I stopped using it mainly for the other reasons. I eventually came back around to it and my skin finally adjusted. I then upped my percentage twice and now I’m at .018% which still isn’t anything crazy, but it helps a lot and my skin is no longer irritated. It keeps my hormonal break outs at bay especially when I use chemical exfoliants twice a week in addition to it. For Tretinoin I use Curology and my prescription has two other active ingredients which I love. Maybe take a break from it and then go back and see if your skin begins to adjust. Also, start off at the lowest percentage so the purging isn’t as bad!

Like people are saying, tretinoin makes your skin purge pretty bad for the first few months. I’d say by six months you’ll notice a difference. I had bad acne around 16 and it took me till I was 18 to feel comfortable using it because I was terrified of the purge. It’s totally worth it though! I’ve been prescribed it for 8 years now and I’m on the highest strength. My scarring is almost non existent. You’ll get through it. :)

Ok ok, I have used both of these medications together and separate and it’s deff purging from the tretinoin. Spironolactone ONLY improved my skin. But deff stick to tret because it’s so so amazing for anti agin and I’m the same age as you so I get it lol

Oil pulling really helps with whitening the teeth and is inexpensive / wont make them sensitive / there are other benefits :)

Yes you do want to bleach your teeth before having dental bonding done. If you’re happy with the color of your teeth currently then they will match your bonding to your current color but if you tend to like your teeth a little brighter and your due for a lightning you want to do that before having tooth colored material bonded to your natural teeth.

Spironolactone took 6+ months for me. I know it feels like forever but give it some time to work! Maybe instead you need Clindamycin gel? I had that between sprino working but I'm telling you my face was like PAINFUL and cysts BUT ALSO doing too much can be working against you too

I started using Musely. It’s online prescription but their tretinoin is great plus the Spot Cream is a GAME CHANGER for the dark spots. It has 12% hydroquinone

I’m willing to bet it’s the retinol! You’ll likely purge for a few months. If you can hang in there the best skin of your life is a few months off!

You didn’t quite finish your sentence on this subject so not sure if this is what you meant but you can definitely get your X-rays from your prior dentist and give them to your new dentist :). They can either send them to you directly or to the new dentist directly. Just wanted to share as I’ve had it done before so I don’t see why yours wouldn’t too

Maybe u could do a day in the life of TIKA...we all love her so much 🐕💖 . Perhaps a walk thru Fort Langley, Stanley Park, Burnaby Lake or some place that's special to u. Also watch Dr. Jake Axe video on cinnamon. It's a natural remedy to help acne in particular. I've been researching cinnamon for weight-loss & discovered how important it is for our health in sooo many ways. The #7 in top 10 herb. U r beautiful no matter what .

None of the medications or skincare products you're using get to the root of the problem with acne, so they're not long-term solutions. The cause is likely hormonal imbalances from an unhealthy diet. Animal foods and high-fat plant foods are the likely problem. Meat, dairy, eggs, fish, oils, and other high-fat foods (nuts, avocado, coconut) seem to aggravate acne. This likely doesn't happen to everyone because of genetic variation - some are more lucky than others with the types of foods their body can tolerate. A low-fat, whole--food, plant-based diet is increasingly recognized by medical doctors and researchers as the best way to truly treat the cause of acne. Peer-reviewed research is also increasingly supporting this.
