I’m a fan of fairy lights and my therapist told me they’re actually really good in the winter for people with SAD because they add nice ambient light and just make people happy. So fairy lights are therapist approved! Also, I needed a new Christmas tree star this year and hated all the ones I saw in stores, so I’m making one this year out of the cardboard from cereal boxes etc. some hot glue, and some gold paint. All of which I already own.

Chicken Pot Pie Pasta! I nearly moved our Christmas village this year to a different spot because it was feeling cluttered to me, but then my youngest told me that her very favorite decoration of Christmas is when I put our Christmas village on top of our piano. I couldn't move it then! I remember having very strong attachments to Christmas decorations that my parents stopped bringing out, and I would go find them myself and put them out. Christmas really is best with the nostalgia and nostalgia comes from the things we've had for years :) (Though, I do usually add to it each year, or upgrade pieces that we originally bought cheap and had seen better days.)
