I learned proper footwear makes a huuuuuuuge difference especially if you have hard floors! Wish I got custom orthotics and Birkenstocks BEFORE my baby!

I love my kitchen in the dark wee hours of the Chilly mornings. Lovely soft low lighting makes ALL the difference. I never understood how incredibly important having lights other than ceiling or high wall lights was in a kitchen. I knew I was missing something but didn't realize what it was ....soft, quiet, lovely, low lighting. Best best part about the home seasonal changeover, imo.

Lisa, did you grow up on a farm too? What inspired you to live this way? We are in an urban city setting, yet still live as simply as possible. I am a SAHM and make all meals from scratch. As much as I’d love the farm life, I would not even know how to take care of animals. I’d love to know how you learned so much!

I only found your channel about a week ago, but it has already made a material difference in my life. I have almost as many kids as you (😅) and have been trying to learn more from scratch cooking skills. I had a sourdough starter but not many ideas of what to do with it. But now I have so many things to try! I’ve done the English muffins twice now and my whole family is obsessed. I also did a skillet dinner which turned out wonderfully. Have you ever done a breakfast bowl using sweet potatoes or yams instead of oatmeal? You can top it with nuts, raisins, apples, maple syrup etc. So good and filling too.
