I recently made a breakfast crustless quiche for my daughter with potato and I had ham in the fridge. She loved it with some bread. Potatoes here are not a breakfast staple (though I don't see why not, it's a carb just like bread) so I often forget them as a breakfast option. I also make, in jars, my own dry mixes. So I can easily grab one, add the wet ingredients I write on the label and have breakfast without much hassle. Great for busy mornings :) It also makes it easy for my husband to make something else then a peanut butter sandwich if he has to make breakfast. Things like oat muffins or breakfast cookies, pancake mix, cornmeal muffins. And I can easily add seasonal ingredients such as fruit to it. I never made sweet pastry braids. But I have a lunch or dinner recipe for a sausage and herb braid that is delicious.

We eat what we call "scramblett" for breakfast usually once a week. Very similar with some sort of chopped breakfast meat, fried potatoes, onions, but scrambled eggs instead of fried and tossed with shredded cheese.

Hi Lisa. I’m obsessed with your channel. I feel like I’ve won the lottery. You are so inspiring me. I only have one child who is ten but I have the same aspirations as you. I love baking sourdough, gardening, cooking, homesteading. I had a dairy goat until she sadly passed away. I would love to get a jersey one day or another saanen goat. Sadly I have struggled with chronic illness over the past few years so I don’t have your consistent agility. But you do give me hope. I love your faith. I love that you listen to your Bible app as your “down time”. I can clearly see that the Lord has blessed you and your family abundantly for your devotion to Him. I would love to share a tiny hack that’s oh so easy and oh so good. You may not agree but I encourage you to try it. Just find a lid that comfortably fits over your skillet. Crack your eggs in and put the lid on (glass lid is the best so you can see when the eggs are done). I sometimes even put a tsp of water in the pan too if there’s only one egg in there. It’s almost fried on bottom and perfectly poached on top. Let me know if you decide to try it. My 94 year old Pop taught me this way as a little kid. I hate flipping eggs lol. Thank you for the blessing of sharing how possible it is to live my dream. ❤

Hi Lisa, I know it’s not pumpkin time in the US but seeing you make scones I thought I would share that in Australia we make pumpkin scones, they are delicious. You would need to adjust your recipe. I leave out half the milk and add a cup of mashed pumpkin or butternut squash with 1 teaspoon of mixed spice. I tend to keep them either sugar free or only a very little sugar. They are usually served at 11am out of the oven with butter and jam ( kids) or butter and cheese (adults) along with a good strong cup of tea. This is called elevens or smoko. 🇦🇺🦘

@FarmhouseonBoone Looking forward to having all my favorite sourdough recipes in one place! ☺️ I usually do 100% einkorn and everything sourdough so I end up adapting some recipes a little. Even though modern grains are more digestible fermented I feel best on einkorn. So, if you've tried any of the recipes with einkorn and include tips in the notes I would love it all the more. 🫶 Btw - I made your sourdough Cinnamon rolls but with an almond filling and holy smokes was that delicious. The honey in the dough really lends a nice flavor. 🤤

Hi Lisa, I would look a little closer at Caraway cookware. It’s not non toxic unfortunately. I did a deep dive into this and there are no non stick cookware that is not toxic. Only non toxic cookware is cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, and enamel. I completely understand why people use non stick cookware but we must be honest because these companies speak in a way that makes you think it’s safe and it’s absolutely not. I feel we get to choose for ourselves but we should be given truthful information.

Well do like I did. Get rid of your stove and only use your instapot (stainless steel insert). Well I do use a non stick frying pan too but I haven’t even missed my stove. I use glass baking dishes in my big toaster oven to bake in. It holds two loaves of sandwich style sourdough loaf and a 11x14 baking dish. But yeah Lisa - I’m anxiously waiting for your cookbook. 😊

I don't spend hours baking everyday...not even close. Remember these are edited videos sometimes of more than one day. My husband works from home and my little people take naps.
