But The Tomb kings including Setra were entombed to be raised later (MC reasearch not good enough to cure death at the time of their death), so in future when the MC finds a cure for death they could be raised to immortality. Setra and the Tomb Kings were rudely awoken before actual immortality could be achieved by the MC, owing to Nagash's chad raise all dead all over the world spell. This the skaven put an untimely end to that spell before all the dead could rise.

@@alejandromoguel5739 The Skaven were basically the only ones who knew what Nagash was doing, and given they couldn't exactly get help from anywhere else they realised they had to be the good guys for once. If I remember right Nagash had a prince of some sort as a prisoner, so the Skaven (not wanting to directly face Nagash) freed him and gave him a sword made of warpstone that could kill Nagash. He succeeded while Nagash was in the middle of his end game spell, which would have killed and reanimated everyone as his undead slave. Instead a weaker version went off which just killed everyone in Nehekhara not under the lich priests protection. The spell also interacted weirdly with the wards they'd placed on the tombs of past rulers, causing them and their most loyal followers who'd been entombed with them to be woken up early. I could be misremembering, but I think the main difference between the basic Tomb King skeletons and the higher tier stuff, is the chaff are reanimated from those reduced to dust by Nagash's spell (essentially answering the call of their Kings), while the higher tier units were woken up alongside the Tomb Kings.

While the prince prisoner was busy stabbing Nagash, Nagash realized he was about to get killed so he started casting powerful spells on the prisoner. The council of thirteen wanted to make sure Nagash was stopped so they used their magic to shield the prince. The strain from trying to protect from Nagash's spells caused the council's brains to explode.

I guess there's just no easy way for Tomb Kings to hit the Dwarfs initially. Your infantry gets hit by blasting charges, so do your Cav, and both Cav and Chariots/Monsters are vulnerable to the anti-large defence they can put up. If you try to outshoot them they can outdo you as well. I guess you just have to hit the ground running and fight an uphill battle. This game was pretty great in showing how to cut off their reinforcements though, and it's hard to begrudge the Dwarfs sending the RoR to the low point since you don't know how much the Tomb Kings will contest it. Also you are correct about Liche Priests, they didn't technically die and they do not have the flammable rule because they were never embalmed.

Longbeard with great weapons might be pretty good in this match, they can thrash any infantry from the TK, and they have charge defence against large, and AP, so fhey can also do work against the constructs, and the chariots

Well, they were so menacing they held the point for the whole game, you could argue it had the same cost of sending several cheaper units that would be contested. Dawi player probably tought he would win if TK pushed into his home point.

The Mortary Cult was founded by Settra (etc. ) to make him immortal. He, and all the Tomb Kings and their servants after him, where prepared and burried to wait for a time, when the Mortary Cult would find the secret of life and immortality. They succeded in the end. Their most promising priest, a guy by the name of Nagash, made and casted a spell which raist all of Nehekara from the dead. But the priests lived and died like everybody else until that guy came around.

Chariotes have always been a noghtmare for dwarves. Like yeah there mele heavy infantry can eat there charge all day, nothing can stop them from going around and charge the juicy backline. And this is exactly what they did and even if they couldn’t take down the canons they did prevent them from shooting effectively. Also Turin the Mortuary Clut never found the secret of immortality, this is why Kathep was banished by Setra. They reason they are mummies is because Nagash raised them back by accident. This also why the Tomb Kings are far more advanced undeads than the Vampire Counts zombies and skeletons.

I don't understand the absolute need for damage spells even versus factions with spell resist. Why not use buff spells so you're not wasting spell effectiveness? The incantation of protection would negate 40 percent of blasting charge damage AND heal more often because it's cheaper. It's how I beat the dawi with my TK is by spamming that TLDR buff/debuff spell gang lmao

Buff spells usually have very low duration. If you have two identical fights and use a melee buff spell on 1 of those 2 fights there's only going to be a slight advantage for said unit for around 20 ish seconds. With damage spells you are still guaranteed getting immediate value even though it might be less than normal. A spell like sandstorm does so much damage over time that it might take 2-3 damage ticks more to kill a dwarf, but in the end it would still kill. Hope this helps

I really like those battles with Renegade Moose. Not only are they are great player, but they are neither afraid to send in a loss, so I never know how the match will end. Great game.

A single Brimstone Gun Gyrocopter would have been a nice reserve to call in, once you know that nothing can really threaten them. They deal very high damage to Tomb Kings (low armour, reduce leadership to aid in crumbling, and the fire helps negate some of the healing) and a couple of bombs can help you win the blob fight that typically forms near the end. Khatep won the blob fight, because he could keep spamming Sandstorm every 90 seconds, allowing to compensate for his low quality troops.

Man oh man... if _only_ the TK player had a second Screaming Meme Catapult, those Ironbreakers on the low ground would've been nothing but free value farm..! That aside, nice to see my favourite skelly bois catch a W for once against their hated Dawi foes - seriously, Dwarfs just seem like a hard counter to the TK in so many ways, so it's always a joy to see such a hard fought victory! ;-)

I am 100% sure that the norgs sitting there and being useless provided enough of an effective value lead to the TKs that with it and their healing they managed to really outmass the dwarves. You can see it, honestly. Being able to fight the capture weight swarm faction on their home objective like that. That play cost the dawi the game.

Feel like the dwarf player could have been more patient at the start. Could have moved everything up to objective one, defended his cannons better for a minute or two while they farmed value, then slowly pushed up with the infantry and characters while still defending his cannons, which were doing great work. I think losing the cannons lost him the game, because he had no answer to the admittedly great chariot micro.

Why did he brought not a single ranged unit I don't get it. In my opinion his Tactic to put the Ironbraker down there wasn't that bad but he should've brought some ranged units to cut the enemies units down faster on this heavily contested point if he did that he would've won it clearly.

I think Infantry always suffer from being slow and vulnerable to spells/ranged, dwarfs are extra slow so they are extra vulnerable to being kited, ignored and/or blasted away. Chaff will always be more reliable, specially with blasting charges being so cost effective.

I always hated the aesthetics of the black ark map. It's also an exceptionally boring map, with the two massive impassible terrain features but not much else going on apart from some minor elevations here and there.

Dark elf themed mad is oldschool? Come on. Whats next? Calling bear cavalry as "time tested"? Only oldschool maps are fan favourite Statue of Sigmar and its peers and 100% unbeatable combo VC´s spirit leach and zombie summoning flying circus (or dreaded triple black couches). Edit: at least ironchads showed for the show.
