There's an entire poem for that, this tiny bit is nothing, it mostly explains the road he took and praises his camel. There's another one he wrote right after he left, and sent it back with someone to deliver it to the king. It was too rude and vulgar, and even if it got really famous, some scholar choose not to say it publicly because of its meanings. 😂
@Yehyya11 ай бұрын
@@nawara9056can you provide the source for it? And can you tell me the story and why he escaped?
@nawara905611 ай бұрын
@@Yehyya sure! So, Almutanabi is the poet of these lines( in the video). He was born around the 10th century, and was the linguistic genius of his times. A highly renowned poet for his powerful poems. He was good, and he knew that. Some stories say he started making poetry at the age of 9. He was ambitious, and it was evident in his poems. His most widely spread verses is likely to be " the horse, the night, and the battle field knows me, And the sword, the spear, the paper, and the pen." I am the one who the blind read his works, and my words were heard by the deaf. I sleep with full-filled eyes from its rareties, And the people stay up their nights to attend to it, and dispute over it. (Of course, it sounds way better in Arabic, it just doesn't work with translation.) ***** Anyway, he used to flatter kings and praise them to earn their favor and money and status. To Arabs, status and reputation were important. Gold runs out, and beauty fades, but a good reputation stays. Poetry was also popular because its a rich language with profound meanings. A poet was considered a good career. It was powerful. A good poet's words will have the ability to raise the reputation of tribes and kingdoms, or destroy them. So they were to be feared and respected. Almutanabi grew close to Saif Addawlah ( sword of the state) Alhamadani, and wrote beautiful poetry for him. However, an issue happened, and Almutanabi left, leaving behind verses of ridicule. He was then invited by Kafoor Aliqshidi. (To be continued)

The Prophet (ﷺ) has commanded to grow the beard and to shorten the moustaches. In another authentic narration (Hasan) in the book "Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihayah" of Imām ibn Kathīr, the Prophet (ﷺ) said that Allāh has Commanded to grow the beard and to shorten the moustache. The correct opinion is to cut what comes below the handful of one's fist. This was related by ibn 'Umar, ibn 'Abbās and as well as from Abū Hurayrah. A major Tabi' also narrated that the companions would cut what came below the handful. The aforementioned is the opinion of Sheikh Al-Albānī and one can relate to him for evidences.

This poem is near to impossible to translate in a way that goes with flow of the poem and capture the whole meaning of it at the same time here's why : 1 -Half of the words are names of the places that the poet passed through his journey so you have to name the place and where it exactly cuz it serves the purpose of the poem 2- some places are used geographically to manifest how fast his camel was Like in 0:40 to 0:48 the land of Iraq is far from Turban and yet cuz the camel was fast she said to them " here it is" like she can see it from there That takes like google map level to explain 😂 3- he used the names of the wind to describe the directin of his journey.. not gonna say more 🤐 4- the part when he started to diss Kafor " the ruler of Egypt back then" it was filled with metaphors and wisdom that needs to be explained separately Therefore this poem is one of the hardest poems cuz it's not easy to mold the names of places to rules of arabic poems like "wazn" and "qafyah" without breaking the rythm .. that requires maximum level of linguist and talent That shows how amazingly talented El Motanaby was and how magnificent the arab language is ❤ All respect to the channel and the reciter .. keep up the good work

It is also deemed Harām in the Qur'ān according to the interpretation of the Sahābah of certain verses. The duff is only to be played in three occasions. In the wedding. After one's returning from a journey out of joy and on 'Eīd. Apart from this is Harām and only the women can beat them, for the men are prohibited to do so as it is an act in which the men would be imitating them.

I know Arabic and I read the translation and found it very bad. What do you expect from a machine translation? Many of the phrases are difficult to translate and require a long text to explain. There are also words that are not found in the English dictionary and that carry a very precise meaning, in addition to similes, which will certainly not be understood by someone who is not fluent in Arabic (Classical), so I advise anyone who wants to see the beauty of Arabic poetry to listen. To someone who is an expert to explain it to see the greatest amount of beauty

I wonder why he didn't complete the whole poem and if there's a completed version out there.

The end of the poem basically consists of witty insults addressed to the ruler he escaped from and are left out as they are considered rude and vulgar
