my translation: o night, when is it the lover’s day? - is it the day of doom? - late-night talkers sleep and he doesn’t-longing keeps him the stars cry for the nights he spends gazing consumed by the softest gazelle that sprinted, escaping gossipers in my sleep my eyes set a trap - even there i can’t hunt her and i’m a skilled hunter --- captured by the most delicate - idol of temptation i desire but do not worship sober, yet with a drunken gaze, her mouth wine-dripped, she draws a sword from the pupils her sleepy eyelids sheathed - and the blood of the lover sheds there is no punishment for committing murder with eyes when your hands are innocent o you whose eyes shed my blood - your cheeks are red - why do your eyelids deny what your rosy cheeks confess?- for Allah's sake --- i ask sleep to seize me: it is there i go to see you what will it hurt for you to soothe the ache of a lover wanting to close the distance you keep putting? he is almost lifeless-they will cry for him tomorrow or after tomorrow he will die, will you see him one last time? o people of love, we have a lump in our throats made of our tears all your lover wants is you and yet destiny divides - how delicious unity is! - until days in departure deny my heart, how do you bear this? others devilishly deprave love --- i am the most honest of lovers (i tried to keep a shadow of a metre--a sense of structure--as well as English poetic devices such as rhyme, enjambment, and alliteration. i might have redacted a line which i felt weakened the poem in English. i also rearranged some lines, but all of that as little as possible.)

@AbuBakerAl-Badry I agree with you. The poems written of the highest literature quality ( Such as The Seven Golden Odes ) and the Quran itself was revealed in the highest form of Arabic Grammar. Thus it has multi layered meanings and a completely different rythm in comparision to normal Arabic. Come to think of it, why doesn't normal spoken Arabic sound as melodious as The Literatures and The Quran? This is simply due to the fact that their Grammatical Structure is so good.

He also mentioned that earlier that he can't capture the gazelle in Arabic peom gazelle often refers to a beautiful women too. I guess he can't sleep because of his overthinking and emotions. However I'm saying all this based on the subtitles and if you understand arabic you can understand the peom much better. Lasty if iam wrong most welcome to correct me. Lyrics: O night, when is the day when the lovers meet? Would it come before the doomsday? Late night talkers already went to sleep.. while he still can't, because of yearning Even the stars felt sorry and cried for him for the long nights he spends looking at them He is obsessed with a graceful gazelle that ran away fearing the telltales Closed my eyes as to set a trap for it Even in dreams I couldn't hunt it Strange that I have been a skillful hunter, and I got captured by the most delicate one She is an idol set for seduction.. that I fell into its love, but not into idolatry She is sober, despite the wine that runs in her mouth with a drunken look that is fatal to me.. It comes out as sharp as a sword from a charming pupil unless she sheathes it to her sleepy eyelids She used to spill lovers' blood with this saber Woe to whomever holds it! She won't be charged for killing with her eyes. Only killing by hand counts. O you, whose eyes denied spilling my blood, your rosy cheeks reveal its stain They admitted the crime already so why your eyelids are denying? I exempt you from the revenge as I think you didn't mean to hurt me For Allah's sake, give me a single hour of sleep May I get pleased by meeting you in dreams What will it take for you to relieve the exhaustion.. of a lover who comes close to you, and you keep avoiding him? Your love hasn't left any sparks of life in his body His caregivers are to cry for him soon He is to pass away tomorrow or the day after May you give him a last look? O lover, I'm nearly choking.. with the tears overfilling my eyes A lingerer wants to see thee but the destiny doesn't enable him! Much warm and sweet had been the union! until the time spoiled it with separation and departure, Oh.. how does my heart bear this much pain! I'm the most noble lover Others would spoil love with bad intentions..
