A Day at the Detroit Zoo

Ever since I was a kid the Detroit Zoo has always been one of my favorite places to visit! I really enjoyed shooting this video and hope you enjoy it also! I'm taking my 4 year old son this Friday 9/24/2021 I'm hoping he has a blast. My favorite so by far is the Cleveland zoo.

The Cleveland Zoo is a good one too, I like the Detroit Zoo a bit better but I think it’s because I’ve been going for 4 decades. Let me know what you think!

I do love going to the zoo. We usually like to go and take the nieces to the zoo with us every summer. My one criticism would be that the penguin building was closed when we went.

Agreed on loving to go to the Detroit Zoo! The penguins I think will be open again pretty quickly. They’ve been working on the exhibit for some times but I think they’re wrapping up. Also there are some fun changes on the horizon for 2022 I’m told!

I love the zoo and go often. A lot of what you said was not Accurate. We have 5 species of penguins. King,rock hoppers,gentoo, macaroni, and chin straps. Erin was a lion not a tiger rescued from a junk yard. Flash hit a power line and mr America did too. They didn’t fly into a building. Captain marvel was a eagle hit by a train. Plus you used videos of animals no longer there like the seals and wazi the white colored wolf. We have sea otters instead of seals now and wazi died a few years ago. We have renner and Kas Grey and black colored wolves. They wasn’t waiting for a grizzly bear to be born to live with larke. They rescued a orphan one from Alaska. That will live with her and grow up together witch is awesome. Awesome video but next time please make it more Accurate.

Thank you for the comment and clarification. I only used information directly supplied from the zoo personnel itself. I apologize if anything was inaccurate, I always go to the owners, managers & other people of authority (business owners on their business, mayors on their towns and the zoo personnel directly). I stopped going because all they did while i was growing up was false advertise animals. The last 5 times they had nothing. Just dead looking hibernating polar bears. A couple primates, birds, and like goats or something lmaoooo. Yet they were advertising giraffes all over the parking lot smh shameful. Broke my child and preteen heart.

You should give it another chance when you can. I know that sometimes not all of the animals are out but I've really enjoyed the last few times I've visited.

I thought so too with Covid taking its toll, come to find out ticket sales are back to 90% strength this year. I think part of why it was so popular is people wanted to get out, but frankly, it’s the zoo, so it’s pretty awesome. I don’t remember a year I haven’t gone 3-4 times. I’d advise getting out around Halloween, Wild Lights (get tickets early, they sell out FAST!) and a couple times just because. But remember to get tickets early. Also don’t forget to subscribe to the channel!
