Awe thank you so much! I’m kind of afraid about being a NP but I hope the career change will be fulfilling and rewarding as well! Bedside nursing is too physically, emotionally, and mentally challenging to be done for long in my opinion.

A couple of months ago I lost my dad as he was in the ICU. We spent a week debating if we should keep going or let him go. While it was tough, I couldn't have made the decision that we did without the medical staff supporting us, especially the nurses. I already had respect for medical staff before but in the midst of COVID and witnessing all of the care that goes into patients really allowed me to see in a new light and have even greater respect for medical teams. Thank you for your work to patients and their families. It means a lot. Also, subscribing now!

I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad to hear that the staff was supporting and able to help you guys make a decision you felt was necessary and correct. I always tell my patients' families that the choice they make is never right or wrong. I think many people need to have end of life discussions with their loved ones so they can honor their love one's wishes in the event they become very ill and can not make their own medical decisions. As a nurse I totally enjoyed this. I work in Obstetrics and love it. Kudos to you because I could not work on your unit at all. If you haven’t already can you do a food/fitness video. I struggle with maintaining my weight and I know night shifts are contributing to this. How do you balance work and staying fit?

I’ve been a nurse for about a year and 4 months now on a Med/Surg/Tele unit. I also say a prayer before I go into work- I enjoy praying before going into work because it makes me feel calmer. Agreed! Plus, I always feel like when I pray for a good shift it usually happens 🙈 Well.. as good as a nursing shift can get! Lol and I would love to. I have good and bad days to be quite honest. Somedays I really feel like this year has been a huge dud.

Are you Christian? If you are, that was confusing, because you were listening to Dub Lipa. Remember, living the lukewarm life is not good, because Jesus will spew you out of his mouth. Revelation 3:15-17 says "15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked." I pray this helps. Also the Bible says in Ephesians 4:29 "Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them."

It’s definitely not easy! I have had issues being consistent on Instagram. Sometimes if I have consecutive off days I’ll try to plan my content and edit it in advance. I don’t have it down yet so I’m in the same boat! Lol
