The fact that you could be an influencer full time and make money solely off your content YET you choose to work and follow your passion is just….. 😩 indescribable.. I love you Penny!!!! Such a freakin inspiration especially to the young kids who think making money on social media is all there is. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s beautiful to see someone following their passion. Thank you for what you do ❤️

I had to unfortunately back out of nursing school because like you, I’ve also heard of the horror stories. Also, the pandemic made me reflect on my choices and I ultimately decided that nursing isn’t for me. I’m wanting to be in the medical field but will look for another career. My husband is a nurse and he’s looking for other avenues now besides bedside nursing. He wants to slowly phase out of nursing but he’s going to get his msn, save up, and look for other ways to generate income. The good thing is, there’s much more than bedside nursing! Case management, legal, etc. you can do it, especially if you have the passion!! :) *edited for word

Since I was in like middle school I’ve been so drawn towards the healthcare field, the prospect of being a nurse ,etc; but now that I’m actually getting closer to graduating hs I’ve been so worried it’s not the field or career for me. the aspects of using what you learn in the real world , being productive all day like you said, and how you are constantly learning is what I really like about it and just the healthcare field in general BUTT being a mega introvert , the whole being around people constantly is also yk....a little scary to me. Literally this video has helped me a lot and actually gave some good insight on what it’s like. Shout out to you penny for this video it’s so helpful as a hs student who has no clue what to pursue 😭😭.

Ive had nurses who seem like the have a introverted personality. Not every nurse will be a bubbly person and i think that's okay. Because you will deal with all kinds of people with diff personalities and maybe some will enjoy that. A "real" person, yk? As long as you get your stuff done and you are polite respectful/empathetic you should be fine :)

holy shit that was a blast from the past. I was studying undergrad to apply for medical school and I had worked at a banner hospital for 3-4 years. I ultimately left pursuing medicine because I simply enjoyed mathematics and science too much and began engineering. Even though medicine wasn't for me, I don't regret my time because I hands down have met some of the kindest most intelligent people I've ever had the pleasure of being around. I genuinely felt like the staff on my floor was almost something like family, it's a difficult career but simultaneously the work leaves you with a feeling of purpose and the work you do is literally life changing for some people. seeing the glucometer though really brought back memories lol, as well as the vocera. The hand washing sensor technology definitely seems new though , I haven't seen those before but that's a wonderful idea

I'm a Registered Nurse and have worked everywhere all over Oz - I now work primarily in mental health. I did a few 17 or more hour shifts in emergency, and it just about killed me. I was in my 40s though, so nursing does get harder as you get older. However, even with swollen, aching legs and feet at the end of a very long day, it is worth it. Just to hear that Thank you Nurse, or for someone to tell you that you helped them is so very rewarding. There is nothing to compare to being a nurse - we are so needed and valued in the world, especially with the pandemic still going on. Congrats to you all! Cheers from Down Under :)

OMG you just said what I always thought about why I love to be as busy bee! I was "forced" to study law and when I entered the working world it made me very ill since you sit at the desk all day (working out in the evenings was not enough or not fulfilling). I have been thinking about becoming a nurse for a while now. Your video inspires me again💗

I am currently in the process of doing my pre-reqs for nursing school. I work at a hospital as a patient care tech (CNA)--seeing how you had multiple WORKING glucose monitors made me seriously envy your unit.

I love how happy your job makes you, I know you were really stressed out for a while so I’m happy to hear that it was worth it♥️ Also you skin looks amazing, can we get a update on your skin journey. Was the acne stress related?

The best facility environment I ever worked in was about the poorest hospital I ever worked at. We often had no computer access, couldn't easily get the snacks for the patients, didn't have AC on a cardiac unit in summer in Ga, and one time didn't have electricity (glad I knew how to set an IV by counting drops and setting the stop cock manually) and had to start IVs by flashlight. With all that and no in room baths, I really loved that place and my coworkers... especially my girls with me on the 12 hour nights. We were a great team, and I felt really valued.

Hi Penny ! . I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful video . I'm an aspiring nurse and it's honestly such an amazing feeling when I see the videos like these because my family is a slightly not so happy with my decision , they would much rather me become a doctor . Your nursing videos give me hope that one day I'll also get to make a difference in someone's life . ❣️❣️❣️

Nurses have saved my life a few times. I have great appreciation for that. Having said that, and I know many, many nurses can youtube and keep up with their patients, I had a youtubing nurse. I had MAJOR surgery, she was 2 hours late with pain meds, because she was busy filming content. I was not impressed with that.
