Right! I’m imagining the entrance of the mine opening on Christmas night and Santa’s sleigh flying out and around the island on his way to deliver gifts to all the kids with the northern lights behind him. If I had been a child there I would have been so excited.

Cecilia. It may be overt/weird to say, but I really feel blessed for finding your channel. I never even say that word, if I am being honest!! But you make life seem so magical and whimsical, especially where you are, which I am sure is also somewhat harsh because of the cold, constant sun, constant darkness, and need for being very much responsible for your own life in the wilderness. Yet, you make it seems warm, bright, cozy -- like a book you would want to live inside of, or even a show like Gilmore Girls that is unmatched in cozy vibes. I would love to visit Svalbard at some point in my life, but in the mean time, you really do inspire me to be a better person, happier, sillier, and look at even the harder parts of life with some kind of child-like amazement and newness, or even just enjoying the very little lovely things that happen. I love this channel so much. Like Gilmore Girls, I just wish to live inside of this place :)

There is something that just warms my heart about watching a man help with the decorating. The entire time my kids were growing up, their dad would only put the lights on and then disappear to his man cave while the kids and I did the rest. I know it's possible that you both may decide to not have kids. But if you do have kids, (or kid) I believe Christoffer will be an amazing Dad and you would be the most fun mom EVER!!

Many years ago I had (well still do lol, we are still friends) a friend with 3 kids. None of us had any money, so she couldn't afford a tree. When she was at work the kids and I decorated a chair. My friend started crying when she saw it. I know she felt bad, but we had such fun decorating it. We still talk about the Christmas chair. One of my favorite memories.

Hi, it would be very nice to make a video on your overall heating system and heating expenses. I could see one split AC and a wood stove in the living room. But what about other rooms. How warm do you keep your cabin throughout the day and in the nights? While you are sleeping, during the night - do you still get up and fill the wood stove or do you rely only on the Split AC? Then what about the coldest nights? How do you source your heating fuel? How much work goes into it? How and where do you store all of your heating fuels (woods etc)? Why don't you use briquettes? In short, your whole journey regarding heating.

I love your ornaments they are beautiful. I love the Christmas wish ornament the best. I am 72 and I remember when I was a child my mom would put a blanket and pillow under the tree and at night my mom, sister and I would lay with our heads under the tree and marvel at all the sparkelies, Then she did the same with my son as I did too. Can I just say that this channel has really helped me in a number of ways. One of which being that, living with debilitating chronic pain in my 20s (something that has taken really everything from me), hope and happiness are hard to come by. And although this video shouldn't logically give me any hope, it just does; it gives me tremendous amounts of hope and peace and tranquility for which I am eternally grateful. Another way is that I have always found the winter darkness hard to deal with here (London), but this year (thanks to paying EXTRA attention to your videos) my mindset has completely changed and I am LOVING it. So thank you, Cecilia, for this channel. I know you don't make videos for the sole benefit of others, but you have really helped me and continue to do so, so thank you

As I watched your video I remember when I was a kid, all the snow we’d play in for hours sledding. We take a ride up state and my father would cut down a tree wonderful memories. I love the snow sitting with a cup of cocoa watching it snow.
