Thank you Tara for once again giving us a proper look at the care and feeding of beloved horses. They do a good job of keeping their stalls relatively clean. Horses love to be dirty when they WANT to be and only then with no poos about. You've trained them so well and how great that they lift their legs on command for cleaning. The farrier is pleased of that I imagine!🐴 I'm sorry Rens' back is giving him trouble. Trusting he heals well & quickly. Prayers.🙏

Hopefully you also had a couple of days off while the boys were in the field - your mornings are certainly busy when they are home. Good of Rens to help even with a wonky back, poor man. Normally that electric fence isn't there, is it? Is there a reason for having it - apart from giving Farouk less distance to run away :)? Nice how easy was to get both horses loaded with them waiting patiently for you. Enjoyed the video and looking forward to part 2 (and hopefully 3 and 4 lol). Hope Rens gets some relief soon.

Why remove the feathers I think is one of the best parts of the breeds

Some people do that to make it easier, as feathered horses are prone to things like mud fever.

You are just being a great responsible animal owner by mucking those stalls so well. I know I wouldn't like to have to lay down in my own mess, so you know your animals must feel the same way. *high five Tara* Plus it saves on vet bills. : ) I will never stop being awed seeing Apollo and Farouk lift their feet, including the back, like that no matter how many times I see it. Thank you for the up close way to clean out a hoof. Question, did you teach them to only go in the certain spots in there stalls or did you just observe where they went and work from there?
