This is not a GFAS (Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries) sanctuary. GFAS is the accrediting body of the best sanctuaries.
@low37035 жыл бұрын
Exactly
@Norikai7664 жыл бұрын
it's true that aza and accreditations like that are ideal but there are a lot of excellent sanctuaries that aren't accredited because of costs, it's very expensive to get accredited through different organizations, so rather than that they sanctuaries will save their money and instead focus it into creating better environments and facilities for the animals. obviously a lot of unaccredited "zoos" and "sanctuaries" aren't up to any standards, but they're pretty way to spot. People should try to go to accredited zoos, but if a sanctuary has a good reputation and you can tell they treat the animals well, its good to go to them and donate to get them better facilities. obviously though just to be safe, you should go to accredited places, because most people don't know what standards they should be looking for when wanting to go to a zoo. This got rambly but the basic point is; accredited zoos are great but don't automatically call unaccredited places the devil, look into the place and be smart about it, cause it may be a shit-show but could also be a really great sanctuary that just doesn't have spare funds lying around
@DC-pp8xf3 жыл бұрын

Jaguars are South American big cats, and they’re smaller, stockier and their spots are bigger/thicker. Their jaws and heads are shaped differently to leopard to accommodate that powerful jaw and bite force. We saw perhaps a quick glimpse of a jaguar but those *were* leopards we saw.
