Night shift is crucial for me! I love it. You definitely get hired quicker with 3rd shift. I love taking care of business all day , getting a nap in then heading into 11-7 shift. It’s perfect if you have no kids & a night owl lol! ❤️

I love this video because it is about thriving as a night shift nurse. Most videos are about surviving the night shift which does not feel as exciting to me. I graduate nursing school in December and I want to work straight nights so that I can build my skills and confidence in a slower-paced bedside environment that is still challenging hard work.

Single mom, worked 7p-7a shifts in city 1 hour away. Kids in jr and sr high, they would already be at school by the time I got home. I had to have 8hrs uninterrupted sleep. If back to backs, left @ 5:15p leave for work, again. Many different facilities since then, but until last job which was days in a clinic, worked nights or 2nd shifts . Now, I’m disabled, but still stay up late, wake up late. Cherokees were my fav, too

Thank you for being so optimistic and real with night shifts. I think attitude is a big factor on whether or not a person will succeed working nights. I was extremely nervous to work nights because I am not a night owl, but I think it is possible to adjust. Seems taking care of your body and eating healthy also combats a lot of the bad statistics that come with night shift.

i work 4 time zone shifts, 2 morning 2 afternoon 2 nights 2 off, those 2 days at night in one week kills me. we willl see if i get better not smoking bud and see how it affect me. but i work behind machines and have to walk alot. so its pretty hard work actually, i got used to it. but i would still like some tips for night work except sleep before night shift. i do not eat food at night because i can have my energy more in control. only drink, yerba mate tea, or just a tiny snack. Thanks for sharing you are too beautiful. ;)

I’m a night shift RT... absolutely hated the vibe on daylight. Don’t ever think I could go back! The hardest parts about being on nights is disciplining yourself to sleep. It’s tempting to go out and do things during the day but then it’s so much harder to stay awake at work.

So, do you work your days in a row? How late do you sleep if your not going back in? I find the next day after I work my days in a row to be the hardest. My body thinks it should be sleeping because it is light out.
@sarapronschinske19635 жыл бұрын
nicole anderson if not going back in I’ll sleep 4 hours and then get up and go. Anything less than 3 hours and I feel physically sick waking up. If I have only one night off before going back to work I’ll stick to the night shift schedule to keep it easy on myself. It doesn’t interfere with family and friends too much because we’ll see each other when we’re waking up/coming home
