Scrap & Pallet Man

Күн бұрын

Found a nice load of scrap copper in a curbside trash bin. My friend Susie sent out the scrap signal for me to pick up her scrap metal from her crafts and art.

Many years ago my mother and I decided we would collect and scrap drink cans. We cleaned for the small town in which she residing in. Meaning the garbage- the police- the city hall and the library. So I mostly gathered up the soda cans while wk'ing. Since I gathered and disposed of the garbage when we wk'ed . I bought a small bench seat blue S10 from my brother. Mom decided she would make side boards from chicken wire and scrap two by fours. U should have seen us. My daughter has a pic. I must get a screen shot and send it to u. Once a yr she and I would take our treasure in for the bounty. Once we had to make two trips. Biggest pay day on crushed clean drink cans was $240 .That was back in the day tho. Afterwards she and I would treat ourselves to a deli sandwich from a place called "SCHLOCKYS".

The 3d blue ray player might be a home theater receiver, the smaller samsung box is for rear surround speakers that plug into it and wirelessly receives sound from the other box... missing are the main parts remote, 5 speakers and subwoofer. the special wiring with those odd plugs might help too. Cool setup. The remote in the other box you saved to might be the one. I LIKE IT.

I should open a warehouse and charge $5 per person and they could take whatever they wanted. I would have a line wrapping around the building. But I could spend all day trash picking and grabbing everything that is good and bring it to this fictional Warehouse where I charge admission. Wouldn't that be cool?

It's nice to see shreddable go up, short iron also went up to 0.10 per pound. Have you ever did a neighborhood drive at night? You might beat some of the early early morning scrappers. It's worth trying. There might be more. 8:00-10:00 is when a lot take their trash out at night. The scrapyard I go to will only take refrigerators if the compressor and copper pipes are taken out of it.

Hey Paul I've been scrapping for about 40 years ( started when I was 12) I have found the little bit of time you take to clean you scrap so your not sending them a lot of non metal the more they will pay you. I average about 5 to 10 cents more on the pound then most people get but I have used the same scrap yard for 40 years.........and they told me to hold on to all my copper that it getting ready to spike in price soon and could double or triple in price over the next few months

Hi Paul... what is price of fire wood in America ? ... In my country it is 35 bucks for 35 cubic feets. I wonder if you can find enough wood to sell for fire wood cheaper for poor people.
