Lovely video 🖤 Are you guys living on campus? I’m thinking about going to UNCSA for contemporary dance! I’m a musical theatre girl as well so I’m looking for a school where I can grow and be versatile with that! Do you guys recommend going there? I was thinking about going for Drama but I’m a dancer first so I don’t want to not dance if that makes sense 😂

Hi! Yes, we do live in on-campus apartments and highly recommend UNCSA! I think either a dance or drama major would be good. I am a contemporary major and absolutely love it and I feel like the program prepares you for a variety of fields. The drama students take quite a few dance classes too so if you wanted more musical theatre training (singing and acting and such) I would suggest applying for that major :)

Stella we train a lot in dance performance and the majority of alumni go on to have professional dance careers as performers but we also take pedagogy and choreography classes to learn how to teach and create pieces :)

Iya Desamero acceptance is definitely based on ability rather than body type and there are merit scholarships!!

Can you major in music and minor in dance? And do you need to have a lot of experience to go to this college

we actually can't have minors here because it is such an intensive schedule! I would say you need quite a bit of experience, it is considered a conservatory so the classes are pretty small.

Jules Michelle embrace everything that makes you unique because they love individuality!! and in the artist statement don’t be afraid to be too personal, they want to know about you! hope you get to audition, it’s a great environment and i wouldn’t stress about it too much :)
