Wow what an inspiration you are and a true blessing on this earth. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am also a colon cancer survivor. I had stage 3 sigmoid colon cancer. I was diagnosed December 11, 2018. Had colon resection in 2019 and chemo the rest of that year. I admired your positiveness and you take on life. Please keep up the great work and may God continue to bless you and all those around you.

I will have chemo mostly likely until June when I have my next scan, and the doctor will decide on the next step then. How are you doing lately? Have not seen your update for a while. I've also heard of a lady was healed because she let Psalms audio play all night while she slept. Reading the bible out loud healed my neck one day and made me feel much stronger physically so every one should do it daily. Look up healing scripture online or try reading any of the bible out loud.

Hey Julio! I'm sure you are a comfort to many people God bless you. Ody: I hope you beat this!! You show much bravery in the face of this formidable foe we call cancer. When I had cancer I didn't give it any power. I thought of it as 'an overgrowth of cells that went were there were not supposed to go". I used imagery: I'd lay down in a quiet room and envision ravaging scavenger wolves searching out and devouring the cancer cells. I did that many times. One day I did it and 'they' could find nothing to eat. That is when I believed my cancer was gone. That was 30 years ago.

Wow! Round 15! I have stage 4 colon rectal cancer. And today I just had my 7th round of chemo. I have my pump hooked up and will return in 46 hours to have the pump removed. My oncologist wanted me to have 12 rounds, so I went and got a second opinion from a larger cancer center. They temple university reviewed my case and suggested 2 changes. 1. A med they wanted to give me avastin I should pass on. 2nd They felt that I only should have 8 cycles of chemotherapy. So my oncologist talked to my doctor at temple and agreed. So I didn’t get that Med and I’m only scheduled for 8 cycles!😀 And today is cycle 7 ya.👍 But this chemotherapy has really done me in physically. My hands are really sensitive to anything cool, and so is my throat. I carry gloves everywhere I go now. I warm all my drinks. But in about 8 days from now I can start to get back to normal again. And even have ice cream!🍦 But then in 2 weeks I start all over again.😬 God bless you making it 15 rounds🙏 I am old enough to be your father so I guess my age isn’t helping me, and your youth is a blessing. Just think it won’t be long and you’ll be cancer free out jogging.
@odysurvives21113 жыл бұрын
Hey Ed! I’m so glad you got a second opinion! I’ve had about three opinions on my treatment plan/ course of action. At this point I’ve had 21 rounds! It sounds insane to say but somehow I’ve endured. I can’t deny chemo has done a number on me too....even if I “look” okay! I have tons of chronic pain, incredible fatigue and not to mention the diet restrictions/limitations. Regardless you and I are still out here giving it our all! So glad you’re inching the finish line! YOU DID IT!!!

I’ve been trying SO hard to keep weight. During my first line of treatment I could hardly eat because the chemo was SO aggressive (FOLFOX + Oxaliplatin) . Then I had 7 months off chemo and gained 20lbs back which brought me to my current weight of about 160lbs. I have also gained some weight because of the steroids they pump in me. Hete is a video of some of the foods I eat during chemo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2nJZ3aDmc6YhtE Hope that is useful!
