Jaiden is 13 and has helped to care for his mum, who has had lupus and various health complaints, since he was a small boy.
Figures from the UK’s leading children’s charities has revealed that funding available for children’s services in London has fallen by over a third per child since 2010.
But now a charity called Honeypot is trying to help young people like Jaiden.

Not everyone has people that can help. My dad has dementia and can't do anything by himself, and let's see... My closest family members live an hour away, and they aren't from my dad's side of the family, my sister won't help and my mum has to do a lot so I have to help. Plus, young carers are quite common.

It may have been this case or similar which was discussed on daytime TV. All the pundits were crying "Oh this is terrible Why isn't the welfare state doing it all for him? He should be having a normal childhood" Yes it is terrible, but that doesn't make it wrong. On the contrary, this boy's getting an education of a sort he can't get at school. What a marvellous husband and father he's going to make!
