I prefer the Eaton, it is a brighter white and gloss. The leviton is more of a yellowed white and a semi-gloss. They just look older to me. Plus the Eaton has a "soft start" on the dimmer, it starts off dim and ramps up to the desired level. Also if you have a favorite brightness you can set it and just use the rocker to turn it on and off, the leviton you have to stand next to it and and spend time to play with it to get the perfect brightness

Hey Jess, I was an electrician apprentice, turned maintenance technician, turned PLC programmer. Ladder logic is very easy for us to pick up. There are plenty of ways to diverge in this line of work. Hope to see more videos from you, best of luck to you!

@@joerigney8054 My electrical program covered Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs. Luckily, I've only ever come across that brand professionally. I also had the opportunity to get a PLC certificate from one of my maintenance technician jobs. But that was on their proprietary software.

@@thracks hey! It’s been good so far. There’s a lot of opportunity for travel. They are very welcome to people with no experience. They appreciate you asking questions. I just finished my second one weeklong class the first year apprentices have three of those throughout the year and then a couple single online classes.

But also travel is not required that’s just where you can make a lot more money you can work at local projects as well!! but the pay is great. The people are great. It’s going very well would highly recommend.

Leviton just seems cleaner for some reason. I used them a lot when I was in my course. Great job! I always thought the blue marettes only held 3 or 4 #14’s. Question: I’m pre apprentice in Ontario. Looking to get started in my apprenticeship. Would you say that there is still a demand for electricians? I’ve been applying for over a month and still nothing.

I had to look it up... "Marrettes" are what wire nuts are called north of the border. But I agree with the other commenter who advocates Wago connectors (a word that can be pronounced at least 3 ways).

I don't like to be a negative Nancy but the use of wire nuts in 2023 amazes me. We should be moving to Wago connectors world wide at this point, so easy to screw up a wire nut. I DO like how you made sure the screws were all facing the same direction, not many sparks in the UK do that, some do but others use Crabtree or MK accessories with a plastic plugs to cover the screw so the customer never sees it

A twisted copper to copper connection with a wire nut is always going to be better than a push on or wago.

for such work in Germany you will go to the jail 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ it’s from the 1960 this style of dangerous work you have to use Wago to be on the safe sight for the house if you not want to burn the house 😂
