How mafia promotion works is it always promotes works when gf (with no mafio and mafio (with no gf) the next mafioso is chosen base on the order of when the maf team joined the game (the next maf that isn't gf or mafio) in order on who first out of the remaining non-mafio/gf joined maf. Which is shown in order from top to bottom. Unlike the necronomicon system the promotion is kind of random and not in a set order like the necronomicon system. I said kind of random since the order of who's first in the lobby is not random at all but getting a maf role is completely random so the promotion system is semi-random
