Hey mate, when I had parrots, I nailed a strip of mesh from the entrance hole on the inside of the nest box down to the bottom. This gives the parents something to hang onto to climb down and they don't have to jump from the entrance. No more broken eggs after I did this. You will find that it makes it easier for the young birds to leave the nest when it comes time to fledge also.

If ya keep the netting up a little from the bottom it can help to keep the babies in there a little longer to ensure they’re ready to leave so they’re not too small still but climb up n fall out, just something I was passed on when I got started with birds

Thanks for the tip Courtney, I originally baught the cages and nest already build and didnt even notice until you mentioned it now that they dont have the mest on the inside to help the birds climb out !!! 🤦 that explains alot, tgankyou for pointing that out. Will be adding that soon to help avoid more future problems

I live in Florida here it doesnt snow and stays warm for the most part. Once the birds get acclimated they will be fine in winter 😁

Not sure what you mean by buying domestic babies ?? Are you talking about my original breeding stock that I have now? Either way the only way to get parrots is domestically since most parrot imports have been banned for years since many are listed on cites appendixes. Occasionally some species of parrots will come in through the European imports (those are all domestic as well none are wild) but i stay far away from that since many come with issues and unknown diseases that can spread through an aviary
