Thanks for all the great Giulia Quadrifoglio videos, they give a great insight into life with a Quad for someone new to Alfa. i've just signed on the dotted line for my own Quad!

@@Back_Road_Hero Yep - pleasantly surprised on an extended test drive just how liveable and civilised it was for such a quick car. Question for you; What fuel do you use - standard unleaded or premium? And supermarket or premium e.g Shell / Esso?

Been watching your videos for the last 10 Months Ed and they have been invaluable for me whilst searching for the perfect Giulia QV. I picked up an MY20 in Vesuvio grey with exposed carbon roof and the Sparco's last week and drove it the 180 miles back home. First time even sitting in a QV with the Sparco's but I really did find them unbelievably comfortable for the whole journey.

Sam Hicks from New Mexico. Great seats and great drive. All the carbon is really amazing. Hahaha! I could certainly make myself comfortable in those carbon sparco seats! That would be no problem. Thank you for the video.

Nice drive, beautiful car! She cruises in comfort on the highways, and turns into a beast in the twisties. I have the comfort seats and I find them perfect, but I’ve never sat in the CF seats for comparison though.
@Back_Road_Hero3 ай бұрын
I thought the same. There’s a level of comfort in the standard seats that the carbon ones can’t match but at least they have rake adjustment unlike the Porsche GT products. Ed

Thanks for the video. I previously owned a Quadrifoglio (Montycarlo blue, yellow calipers) from new. After 4 years (27k miles) I sold it. However, going to buy another secondhand (from a dealer) probably in Red but Montreal Green is nice also. Aiming for a 22 plate upwards. Let me know if you have any advice before I make the plunge. I plan to do a lot of driving in it and will enjoy it with regular trips from Cornwall to Berkshire. Thanks 🙏

There’s probably not much I can tell you as a previous owner. The newer (revised interior) cars lack the rawness of the originals. However with the thicker glass and the OPF in the exhaust they’re considerably quieter as well. Touch screen is nice but not essential. Just wait for your perfect spec to come up and I’d advise against the carbon ceramic brakes. Ed
@jaw66513 ай бұрын
@@Back_Road_Hero thanks very much. Yes like you said in this review I don’t require the ceramic brakes either. Looking forward to getting back into one soon & thanks again for your videos.

Nice 👍. If I did that (and had the fun on wide empty roads - none here in Hertfordshire) in my Stelvio Quadrifoglio, I'd be struggling to see 25mpg! Aside from carrying a bit more weight (the car not me), I guess I may have rather more lead in my right foot! Cheers, Per

@@Back_Road_Hero it’s actually predominantly RWD, with the fronts cutting in if slip is sensed, but the additional drive gear etc does suck the fuel, even when not in use, but it’s SOOOO much fun 🫡🫡😍😍

I meant to ask you: how do you open the valves in adv efficiency mode? In mine, the valves only open in D and R modes (and they do that automatically, and switch off in N and A modes)- I have a MY2020.
@Back_Road_Hero3 ай бұрын
I use a valve controller. Mine is a Squadra which plugs into the OBD port. You’ll also need a Security Gateway Bridge on all cars newer than Feb 2018. My last car had and AHM controller which is hardwired to the valves and works by remote control. There’s another way that you simply pull off the vacuum pipes to the valves and plug the ends. They stay open permanently then and is virtually a zero cost option. The Squadra is the most elegant solution since it provides other functions like launch assist and the ability to lower the front spoiler for cleaning etc. Hope this helps? Ed

@@Back_Road_Hero thank you so much for explaining. I love the sound with the valves open. I might look into this.
@Back_Road_Hero3 ай бұрын
It makes a huge difference for me. Even on Dynamic mode the valves are modulated. Ie they’re not open fully until higher revs.
