I remember my dad taking me up porlock hill in his motor bike and sidecar inthe 1940s. The tent, made by my mum, would have been pitched in a farmers field somewhere near. Happy days. Lovely video and memories. Mum always sat in the sidecar with a stew for our first nights meal, under her feet and Jill, the springer in the back “seat”. I would ride pillion.

Those hills brought back some lovely memories of my family. Mum, Dad, Sister, Aunt & Uncle sadly all five passed now. We were walking down one of those hills and my dad was looking at something so got left behind somewhat. He tried to catch up with us by running down the hill but when he reached us he couldn't stop and had to keep going! It was so funny!!. Thanks for sharing, I absolutely love that place - Lin xx

Another great video thanks Bob. Even though thats no more than an hour from home, I've never before visited or walked that hill with the spectacular views at the top. Somewhere new to visit for sure! thanks for taking us along for the ride.

You certainly seem to be finding the Bailey more fun and less stressful to drive, has made me rethink my choices

Just a point that nearly everybody gets wrong. It's actually 'Valley of Rocks'. There's no 'the' in it. Us locals get wound up about this misnomer. 😘

I will change the title!

At 3:14 in this video... Poppy dragging a tired Bob along! The poor guy spend the whole day up, the whole night editing videos! At 4:21 Awesome scenery! As the video go on... As Jenny makes tea at the nice rear door kitchen... I'm a little afraid you might get use to the smaller van! Oh... just keep in mind there's a nicer one in the driveway back home! Your friend Johan South Africa.
