So, you all know by know that almost every tabloid and newspaper is saying that Ariana Grande is divorcing her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, and has already moved on with her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater. Months of preproduction, filming, and gearing up in post just for everything to be tied to a scandal and possibly bringing on bad press for a project with so many hardworking people behind it. It kind of reminds me of the don’t worry darling situation, another disgusting fiasco with the top billing actors/director ruining everything for rest of the cast and crew that did their best to be professional and create a quality project. Can't really expect more of someone who has been famous since she was like 15 and prior to that grew up in a wealthy household.. she's basically always gotten everything that she wanted. She was handed her "Wicked" starring role on a silver platter because of her fame and despite her sub-par acting abilities that were eclipsed by other candidates. She was basically genetically blessed with above average singing abilities and beauty and hasn't really known what it's like to fail spectacularly at something or be rejected, so she doesn't really get it. Unfortunately those people will always be starting like ten miles ahead of everyone else and often struggle to feel empathy for the people who are hurt by their actions. She was basically blessed to be born in the household that she was born into and with the singing abilities and beauty that she has. People who are gifted like this will never really understand what it's like to *really* struggle and have to claw your own way to success.

I think Mac Miller was the love of her life, but his addiction made the relationship really hard, so she left and moved on quickly to try to forget him, but when he died she couldn't bear the guilt and grief, and that's why she spent some time single for the first time in years. I don't think she actually reflected on her patterns or was trying to change, she was just depressed and grieving. Her relationship with Dalton was kinda fast and I do believe the pandemic played a part in all this, but I feel like if Mac was still alive she would've probably married Pete on a random Tuesday and then divorced him a few months later.
