hey everyone welcome back to my channel! today we’re going to be doing a part 2 to a video that i did a few months back: A Definitive Ranking of Nepotism Babies: • A Definitive Ranking o... ! you guys had wanted me to revisit the topic (which in fairness i totally get since there is NO shortage of nepotism babies in hollywood lol) but if you haven’t seen the original, just a heads up that there’s a part 1!
If you need a refresher I thought it would be fun to rank some of the circulating nepotism babies in hollywood since they’ve been infiltrating any and every career that involves fame. From models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, to actors like Drew Barrymore or Jake Gyllenhaal and even whatever Brooklyn Beckhams decided is his occupation this week, it’s quite literally impossible to escape running into a nepotism baby these days. So why not rank them based on what they’ve been up to recently?
This time around I asked you guys to send in some of the people you wanted to see so we’ll be ranking a new batch of nepotism babies that I missed the first time like Miley and Noah Cyrus, Ben Platt, Chet Hanks, Ashlee Simpson and Zoe Kravitz to name a few. Plus there are a few new tiers this time as well. I feel like I should also mention that some of the people showing up in this video fall more in the category of having famous siblings vs famous parents but I feel like they still qualify as some version of a nepotism baby (i guess maybe better-titled nepotism brother or sister but it’s easier to just stick with one term lol) so keep that in mind if you’re wondering why there are a few siblings that pop up (i.e frankie jonas lol).

The story didn't come out of nowhere since it was an interview. She's a nepotism baby only because she would not have gotten the role of Hannah Montana without the help of her dad. That's the definition of nepotism- using your family connections to climb the fame ladder. She truly would not have been Hannah Montana without him- not necessarily because she wasn't talented, but because he suggested auditioning her and so they prioritized her over other girls. Also, at the time she was auditioning she was 13 years old, and the casting crew were hung up on that because they really wanted a girl closer to 15 years old. But Billy used his magic and Miley was chosen for Hannah Montana in the end. Now of course, she's definitely more famous than her dad ever was because after she got the role, she put the work in, she was committed, BUT... he got her the role. That's nepotism, man. Sucks, but it's the truth.

That's a very good point. I think since she has no idea what it's like for someone without the backing she has, she'll never know what it's like to be kicked out. Also, nepotism babies often, often seem to forget that getting _into_ the “kingdom” in the first place is like 75% of the battle. Their “I had to audition too!” when the fact that they even got into the casting director’s room *at all* past everyone else is because of nepotism. I think 98% of them _severely_ underestimate what being “born in the kingdom” does for them automatically too.

Part 3 PLEASE include Billie Lourde. Third gen nep. baby, with of course Carrie Fisher as her mother (and Brian Lourde a director as her father), and then also of course Debbie Reynolds as her grandmother. According to Carrie, she tried keeping Billie out of acting but Billie "rebelled" and did it anyway. And now she has a son herself, Billie, and time will tell if we go onto a fourth generation or not. But yeah, I really want to see her included in one of these. Feels like she's the ultimate nepotism baby or something 😅

He got a start because he had a seemingly wealthy family with connections...For example, I read his mom grew up in the upper west side of New York and that he grew up near time square, 20 minutes away from La Guardia where, again, his mom also went to...are you getting the picture?! It is about getting your foot between the door! It is about getting opportunities based on your family...It is not necessarily bad, Nepotism happens in many industries, but it shouldn't be denied. Maybe you might include her in a future part 3, but a huge snap snap Kirby for me is Sofia Coppola. It's undeniable that her parents being Eleanor and Francis Ford Coppola was instrumental in her career, including the latter producing her debut film, but I feel like she's almost a unique case in her relation to her father working for and against her. Her performance in Godfather III got panned and she had to find her own path, but now as a director she has an incredible filmography. Which consists mostly of (what I believe to be) very unapologetically feminine films made in a very male-dominated industry. Plus, an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director award at Cannes certainly don't lie.

By the way, I read up about it and it turns out his mom's father, so his grandpa was a screenwriter whose, and I quote "whose book Paris Blues was adapted into a film starring Sidney Poitier and Paul Newman.", I am a cinephile and can tell you those are huge names in Hollywood. Then there's the fact his grandma , danced on Broadway and his mother went to the famous la Guardia high school, where Timothee also wnent to high school. so yeah...you have to dig a little deeper and then you see the pattern. It doesn't take away from Chalamet being a great actor! And hell, he is indeed much more famous then his parents, but a big part if nepotism is getting your foot between the door and having access to places you wouldn't have access to without your relatives and connections...also you can work at Unicef as a volunteer or earn quite a lot of money at top positions, you realize that, right. You all should be thanking and acknowledging nepotism, because without it, let's face it, Timothee despite being talented, probably wouldn't have been where he is now...

The only thing bad I have to say about Maya, is that all of her roles so far seem to be roughly the same character. She plays that character well, so I wont knock her for having a niche, and I'm very happy that she obviously knows about her parents success, and seems to be self aware, so for that alone, I will commend her for, but until she has a role that is vastly different with depth that I haven't seen before, I truly don't think that her as an actress is anything special.
