As a teacher, this is honestly the type of thing they should be teaching in schools....especially elementary schools where a lot of kids (and Adults according to the comments below) either go to school without brushing their teeth or brushing it incorrectly....not getting them to write useless paragraphs on if an alien came to their house, what would they give them to eat....smh!!

Alex Beasley Me too but at this point I don't even care I'm saving already money to get some perfect fake teeth like actors have. It's 25.000 euros in my country (Italy) and honestly I've spent like 10 grand already because I had braces (6,000 bucks), then I had some cavities removed and some cleaning, this and that, so there goes 10 grand. I could've added 15 more and got some new white perfect teeth

all standard paste is crap. theres enough flouride in a tube of most pastes to kill 2 small children, the govt forced the industry to post a poison warning (read the small print) on every tube long ago. also they are loaded with nasty chemicals & sugar designed to make dentists rich. PS mint is a gum irritant allowing you to mainline all those aweful ingredients directly into your bloodstream too. happy brushing! I suggest ppl dump their paste, go with all natural approach to whole body wellness thru mouth health with Revitin paste, this is NOT spam.

2 key things I learned from this and very appreciative of it was 1) the tartar behind my bottom front teeth is normal, I'm not a freak and 2) the reason we brush when we wake up even though we haven't eaten anything is we have less saliva in the mouth to combat plaque build up.

This is the top teeth cleaning infomation video I've seen. (At last!) Only to find how wrong I was at cleaning my teeth. 50 years of harsh brushing, not knowing, it's now about scrubbing them fast and hard any which way. My dentist has never taken the time to give me the few really helpful tips that you've just gave me. ( A couple of teeth at a time ) If only I'd had this information 50 years ago, or anywhere in between. Not only do you show us how to exactly brush our teeth, you explain why. I've always brush my molars and pre-molars up and down, but side to side. Also I've always brushed them with the top and bottom teeth, together. Noooo!!! My recent dental appointment was surprising. He said I wasn't brush my back teeth properly. He said I wasn't cleaning between my teeth properly, which caused staining. So, I thank you for your helpful video, which has now taught me techniques on how to properly brush them with the brush at a 45 degree angle. YES! And to pay particular attention to the lower front incisors. Another one was not brushing so hard. For me, it was the harder the better. Wrong! thanks to you. Thank you for your help. xx

I read after eating it's good to use mouthwash with fluoride. You must need to wait for 30 min before brushing with toothpaste. Since acidic food such as meats can destroy the enamel. I brush with manual toothbrush without toothpaste after eating. Later 30 min, i brush with electric one with toothpaste. This video is super helpful and wish was a hygiene class to teach younger kids(and adults too) from how to brush their teeth to how to wash your body properly.

In order to make sure my kids are brushing for a few minutes, we usually have a radio in the bathroom. So my kids and I would brush for 1 whole song. Most songs are a little over 2 minutes. I feel like the little circles remove some plaque, but also push some further under the gumline. If brushing the top teeth, the upward motion packs the plaque further into the gumline and the downward stroke removes it, so the benefits cancel each other out. Once the plaque is packed into the gumline, it can do a lot of damage and cannot be removed.

Ya, some dentist videos show just holding the brush at a 45-degree angle, while others show a brushing technique that involves moving the electric toothbrush while the brush is on. Out of the 2 brush technique option moving the brush actually allows the brush to reach deeper between each tooth.

Colgate 360 Brush Medium (definitely do not get soft!)(Walmart) + Whitening toothpaste that's sold at $ Tree= Hollywood Smile! This is literally the only thing I have ever found that will actually remove any and all stains, fast. Including nicotine, tea, coffee etc.I'm 42 and have sparkling white teeth, no cavities or dental issues. I had my teeth filled when I was 16 to prevent cavities and 1 wisdom tooth removed with each of my 2 pregnancies. this is the full extent of my dentist visits and yet my teeth look like veneers and are extremely strong and healthy.. Take my advice! Make sure you get the right brush. It's the one with rubber bristles that are straight and 3 rubber bristles that form a circle, inside the normal bristles. This is the to success!

Even with oral b you have to move it to the various surfaces of each tooth and hold it on so long to remove plaque it matters more how long you hold it still for with either oral b or sonic but the brush heads on sonic are curved better but again 2 secs on a tooth is not long enough as long as your gentle on your teeth in my opinion, chewing gum helps too!
