when he mentions cleaning rubber pedals are safer. They actually are, I cleaned mine and possibly may have been the first time the pedals in my car have been cleaned in its life but definitely the first time I’ve had it in ownership, and your shoe actually grips the pedal much better and there’s no sliding etc.

I remember when I got my first car, it had a load of dog hair in the boot. As you mentioned you can never get all of it with the vacuum and rubber blocks. In the end I took the lining out, laid it out on the driveway and spent the next 4 hrs picking the leftover hairs out with tweezers. Totally worth it!

I bought a car years ago, and when I was giving it a once-over clean, I found a wallet under the passenger seat. . Opened it up, and discovered it was a wallet I lost about 2 years previously. Racking my brains, I remembered I had hitched a lift from a lad who drove the same car, and only realised later my wallet was missing. Must have fallen out of me jacket pocket and fallen under the seat. £65 in it still.

I had a very course furred dog and I literally used eyebrow tweezers to remove each of his individual fur strands from the cargo area of our Honda Pilot. 🤦‍♀️

The strangest? Item that came in a car I brought was a homemade aluminium storage box. Perfect as a boot tidy. That was in 1992. That box has gone into every car I've owned since and still sits in my current car.

I once bought a used 2001 Nissan Micra and when I replaced the cabin air filter, found a car radio installing/removing tools in a plastic bag taped inside the dash, but they weren't for the radio that was installed in the car :D I also had a white 2011 Suzuki Alto which had tendency to collect green crap/mold on top of the hatch opening, where the hinges are, just like this Fiat 500. Shows up really well in white car. Couldn't stand it, had to wash it away always when I noticed it :D

Dog Hair Hack - After your rubber block, try a little baby shampoo diluted with water in the Tornador (half a cap full, rest water). We'd crank the compressor to max vol (120 psi) and blast the hair out of parcel shelves, and trunk liners. Makes a mess out of the parking lot, but a quick vaccum and it will be good as new with less stress. Keep up the good work!

Not found in a car but found the equipment for growing cannabis in the loft of a house we moved into as a teenager with my mum. All the heaters and lamps etc. Could have started my own farm up there if we had been of the mind to do so. I will confirm we just dumped that stuff, I'm not sure that was craziest thing from the house, but the internal doors that weren't wide enough to fit the opening leaving a good 4 inches short off the side was a rather comical feature I wont forget. 🤣🤣

I was driving a Ford Econovan for a while. It's a rebadged Mazda E series van. Had very worn out clutch and brake pedal covers. I got new ones for a Mazda Rx7. Exactly the same part, to my surprise. Didn't make the van go any better in his case.

I've had dogs all my life and now I have a lab and a retriever best cleaning aid for dog hair is marigolds, the rubber just seems to pull the hair our of the fibres.

I heard leaving soap residue on carpets, without rinsing them with water, decreases the time the carpets stay clean. Reason being, water from wet footwear re-agitates the dried soap residue and acts as a cleaner for your dirty shoes.

Another great job, thanks for sharing it with us, my tip for dog hair is to use the widest roll of sellotape and press it onto the fabric then rip it up as you would do when your waxing your legs 🤔 don’t use cheap sellotape as it will not pull out the hair and toenail clippings the same as a decent roll will !!!!!
