The only way third party packaging could devalue the face value of the packs is if it can't be verified as something that existed 23 years ago and the authenticity/ legitimacy of the entire thing becomes questionable. If this is just some wacky modern day packaging attempting to look retro then the entire product becomes questionable. (Weighted, resealed packs, fakes, bootlegs, etc) But if the third party packager can be determined and it can be sourced as something that was a thing somewhere. Then all it really takes is some people to remember that kind of third party packagaing and it gains some nostalgic sentimental value to those people, which could inturn result in a monetary value to the product, for those people. If we can source it, then maybe get more information on it, which could either help elevate value or devalue. For example, lets say this was a product that only release in Hawaii or Australia. And some people can tell us they pulled vintage holos out of it as kids or the packager didnt discriminate on what kinds of packs they put in there. Then potentially the value rises. But if we get information that these were something a card shop would use to sell off his light pack inventory that they couldnt move, then perhaps it doesnt put the package at the cieling of its potential value. This third party product may only be recognizable to Australians, Canadians, or maybe specific states. I feel like whenever I don't recognize something, some other segments of the fandom usually do. I wouldn't even know about PokeTour Pikachu, W Stamp Dark Charmeleon, or tail stamp birthday pikachu if it wasnt for the internet, and other hobbiest on the other side of the world. I'd open it. Yolo.

Sealed blisters with boosters will always demand a premium. Part of the reason for this is there is far less chance of packs being tampered with or weighed. There’s also just less of them around so they are a unique item for sealed collectors. I personally wouldn’t pay more than face value, but I totally get why they go for more.

People have been tampering/weighing packs since 1st Ed Base. To say a random third party company wouldn’t do that, then resell said packs is wild. I think you pay pack value and a small cut off due to risk with third party products. Best bet for people is cracking the stuff and reselling it for it’s normal going rate, as a bundle it just looks dumb in all honesty

Weigh proof, def worth a slight premium as opposed to loose boosters, those 3rd party companies in 2001 (or whatever) were 1000% not weighing the sub $2 packs they were trying to offload so they could find the $10 charizard lol 2. Like it's either sealed in a hard plastic where you need a scissors to get into it or it's clearly glued and not reglued. Cuz if we have to pay extra for sealed official product to me, it only makes sense that it carries over to any product. Not that I agree with sealed products should be more but in this topic about a third party product, It should match the same rules as official product for consistency.

Agreed, sealed gets a premium because its never been opened official pokemon products. These were made back during the downfall of the orginal pokemon boom in the early 2000s and dustributors were trying to get rid of product. (You could find base set boxes for like 50 bucks) this stuff was worth nothing then. Its like paying a premium for mj holdings mystery shit.

I may be the weirdo here but I would display it. It's a throwback to when you could get those packs for that price and would look sick in a display case with that type of product. I would expect it to fetch at least the market price for the packs inside and probably a little bit more for being an obscure item. Why you would even open this thing is another question. Everyone knows the value of the cards inside so just buy the singles of that is what you are after. If you buy something like this IMO you are buying it because it is a cool/obscure item

I mean the packs are vintage, we can’t purpose it that way because these are all 300$ a pack. You could purpose that now if maybe you want to sell 5 chilling reign packs for 20$ instead of 25$, then yeah that could equate to your point. But when we’re talking vintage product that’s limited and extremely overpriced, it’s not going to drop because of a bundle. And to your last point, I don’t think anyone did anything to the packs, back then people weren’t resealing and doing all the shady stuff they do today with vintage stuff, because back then it wasn’t vintage. Its a pretty uncommon product that you don't see often and there could be a good number or people that would want to keep this sealed and put it on display with their collection. Doesn't really make sense to say nobody would ever put this on display and that they are a jackass for saying that they would. Based on the packs and if they are all English. Probably worth $2000-3500+ It really depends. cause it's un-weighed were assuming cause it's ancient. Yeah, they're vintage, but it's very likely these are no different from 3rd party repacks of today. These may very well have been bought back when the Neo series was out and stores were trying to clear out old stock and then weighed for holos by said 3rd parties.

Who cares if it's 1st or 3rd party? If it's sealed and untampered with, it's worth the premium if you're into collecting sealed, vintage product; or if want to gamble and try to pull the grail from each pack. Personally I'd leave it sealed and tucked away in a safe at an undisclosed location.

In Japan there are two packs with a pokemon postcard sold in a cellophane packaging, those get a premium because you can't effectively weight them.

The company COULD HAVE weighed them (very doubtful, but these are loose packs so it’s possible), I don’t see an argument for more. Face value maybe, but I’d err toward a little less since you’re buying 6 packs.

granted these were sold 15 to 20 years ago so maybe a $30 or $40 for these due to the older packs. but i just buy the cards i want from sets over 8 to 10 years old. your chances of pulling that super rare card out of 1 ot 2 packs from on of these 15 year old bundles is not likely.
