Sydney was horrified and puzzled by the seemingly random and bloody murders of six elderly women in the suburbs of Sydney’s affluent North Shore over a fourteen-month period in 1989 and 1990.

So every attack was considered a fall & evidence washed away because they were elderly. 😢 Wow

Police never take responsibility for their poor investigations. 1. The officer who filed away her report while she went to training. With a suicide note. (See below) 2. The female detective who talked to the suspect’s wife accidentally letting her know her husband was a suspect. 3. Surveillance on him, sitting outside while he killed his last victim. The one detective saying there is nothing we could have done 🤯. So nonchalantly- like oh well. I was an officer in the States at this time. We constantly sent teletypes to other departments, plus it was in the media and the officer just filed it away. If you were at training for two weeks as it mentioned and something triggered you, you’d call the department have someone pull your report.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing… I mean they had at least TWO women confirm that the polaroid photo taken was the guy who had been in the ward and assaulted someone… but then they take the note, and the photo, (which they assume is all connected to these murders because he was, at that time, a person of interest) and file it away?! Why would that cop do that? It’s a photo of a suspect who is running rampant on these elderly ladies.. and it just gets filed. No call to say ‘hey, go get that file, it’s important’. And there’s so many things handled just like this.. it’s absolutely ridiculous. These cops should be ashamed of themselves.. but of course, they can’t even say that they were wrong… I’ve seen comments about being right outside while he murdered again?! I’m only 41 minutes in and I’m blown away with how horrible of a job these cops did. It’s like they didn’t even care… This is just so sad.

It just goes to prove that murderers can come from any socioeconomic background. In the beginning, the mayor said he didn’t believe it was anyone from the local affluent area. Everyone is capable of committing a crime, given the right circumstances.

Stupidest police work ever. Why not instruct the public to NOT clean up any scene until cleared by police. And when he was in the home with his friend, killing her, why not call her home, why not knock on her door, even under false pretense, to insure she was alright. They could have done something to get her out of there. SMH!

Even if these officers had the best technology on their side, we live in a sick society. Technology is not always a deterrent. Technology helps find the culprit, but a killer will always find an opportunity and a vulnerable victim. Sick world we live in.

Don't you just love these Apologisers-for-Criminals, called Psychiatrists and Psychologists. Don't they just remind you of Conmen, with their Babble-tools, fooling people and making money....we used to call them Grifters. And then you've got these same "experts" on Parole Boards, granting serious Crims parole. You'd think that after all the mistakes they make, with re-offending Parolees., they would be laughed off the stage......but no. === The best Psychologists, ironically, are Criminals....they know how to Play people. They know how to read people.

My mum had to clean up her friend room after she "fell and hit her head". The police did an investigation as she was living with her revolting alcohol ex husband. Mun wondered about the relationship between the 2. It was toxic and they even spoke unpleasantly of each other, even in front of visitors. Well my mum, they rarely had other visitors. No charges were laid on anyone and it was ruled as an accident considering she had a belly full of alcohol (everyday) and was elderly. My mum still thinks the ex husband caused her fall. Who knows. Mum never talked about it again

There were pantyhose cinched around her neck? They were face down? Their shoes and purse were placed near by? Their pantyhose were removed? They said it was an accident? So it wasn't a 'druggie' or skateboarder, truly, when i heard that i didn't think for one second that it was. Those poor women were badly let down, assuming they had fallen, with those injuries. And naturally, these things don't happen in the Mosman, Lane Cove area. Very bad policing tho that doesn't surprise me either. Shameful....... I was living in the inner city at the time n didn't hear anything about these cases. I moved to London in October 89 n only years later heard the full facts. A tragically sad comedy of errors.
