As 1960s economic migrants we are now into our 3rd / 4th generation in UK. As a second generation myself I call this the Golden generation of Azad Kashmiris who made selfless sacrifice, not only for their families, but the masses at large back home. I can relate to everything this uncle has said as this is the story of most Kashmiri households. It’s heart breaking to see this golden generation depart one by one now. We have lost many in our family over the past few years. I pray the younger generation learns about and from their unmatched sacrifice. Ameen

Love and respect for the couple! I am from Larkana Pakistan, home of ancient civilization of Indus Valley. I have been there in UK during 1982-84 and I have a girl friend from Stratford upon Avon, in Midlands. I could peep into their culture. I did not find difference in basic human emotions, apart from skin colour or language. Rather I found them more caring and lovely than me myself. I have not been able to forget her even after 38 years!
