And technically, the two engines met before in 1924 too.

That is why Flying Scotsman recognised Pendennis as an old friend

That was good! We should have a story where Flying Scotsman is reunited with Pendennis Castle on Sodor.

This video has sure lightened my mood from my nana’s recent passing. Also, Isambard Kingdom Brunel helped build the Dublin and South Eastern Railway, so Gordon should not dishonour his name like that. I may be an LNER guy, but maybe the Great Western really does have more of an impact than the LNER now that I think about it.

Right at the start, both have one fact wrong: neither Pendennis Castle or Flying Scotsman are the first English locomotives that went to Australia. A huge chunk of Australian (steam) locomotives are British-built. While some had their own workshops, some like New South Wales Government Railways (NSWGR) was a heavy customer for Manchester firm Beyer, Peacock & Co. with the last supplied in 1956, despite the existence of Eveleigh and Cardiff Workshops but you do have local firm Clyde Engineering of Granville. Victorian Railways (VR), who normally build their stuff at Newport Workshops, contracted out the North British Locomotive Company and Vulcan Foundry to build their R and J classes respectively.

Well, Even tho Scotsman nearly stuck in America forever? Once, at least Duck and Gordon should realize the between famous of their relatives, humility, and not boasting about speed and abilities. In fact, I love the Flying Scotsman, and so as Pendennis Castle.

It’s always the big blue LNER engine and the GWR engine arguing about something from the railways they use to work for
