I’m with you about not liking the contrast between white stitching on the stitch down construction. I always like when mine finally get dirty. I never thought of using brown boot cream. That’s a great idea!

I liked the academic way in which you present your boot reviews. I own a pair of these Nicks x Parkhurst but the V2 version, which are superb as any other Nicks’ products.

Great move with swapping the laces and toning down the stitchdown threads. Great review, Teik.

My Double Stuffed NxPs have arrived and are amazing, barely any break in, I was comfortable in them from get go. Some of the stitching on the uppers are a bit wonky, but that is visual rather than a functional issue. Leather is incredible. Glad I got them.

Beautiful boots, Tek. I got a pair of Nicks falcon boots a few months ago and couldn't be more happy with them. Like you say the comfort and fit is amazing. I had little to no break in as well which was surprising considering everything I had heard to the contrary. Yea, shipping was bordering on being offensive. I don't think it's USPS though. I ordered some Wesco Mr Lou engineer boots from Bakers Boots in Oregon around a month before the Nicks arrived. Their shipping to AU by USPS was $74.95 USD. They weigh a little more than the Nicks and were in transit a day less. I suspect Nicks is either including a handling charge or inflating the cost to maximise profit. Cheers

Happy to see another video featuring this pair. I’m hoping I will like mine as much as you do yours. But weeks keep passing while I wait on my British Tan CXL. Will be a nice day when they arrive though, so I have that to look forward to. Thanks for another great video!

Really interesting to know that when the leather arch area ‘flattens’ and the length of you feet increases in your boots. Trying to break in a pair of PNW boots and I was slightly concerned with the tiny bit more than a thumbs width in the toe area but I suppose that’ll get resolved. Cheers for another insightful video, Tek

Mine arrived after 214 days and they are extremely nice. As you said, they appear “longer” than my 602 Parkhurst Allen’s. Based on my pair, the Allen’s I have are finished better. The collaboration pair feels very substantial on the feet and I am happy with the purchase. I ordered same size as my Parkhurst Allen’s and the collaboration pair fits a bit bigger.

I have a thin foot/low in-step with a D width. I’ve always had problems with heel slip and blisters. What brand/boot in a heritage style do you recommend. I loved my iron rangers, but no matter what I did couldn’t work around the heel slip issue (extensive break-in, and help from Redwing).

Mine finally came in. The W&C tan oiled latigo is a knock out. I was worried about the size considering it is my first Nick's. I went with my Parkhurst 9D size. It will be interesting to see how they break in. Width is very tight on day 1 and I had to go with thin dress socks to fit without choking me out. I am guessing they will certainly stretch and settle in with time. Might consider an E width next time, but we will see.

This is exactly what I’m looking at. W&C oiled latigo in tan. Did you elect to get the toe cap or go plain? I bet they look phenomenal.

@@Ryan-fc7cq No cap toe. They look great. Every boot I have is a D width, but I wish I had gone E in these because of the heavier leather. I'm sure they will continue to stretch as they break in. I do wish that Nick's was using the newer 602M last though. I find that super comfortable. Feels just like the Alden Truebalance

@@Ryan-fc7cq I have mine on now. They do loosen up. It is part of breaking in Nick's. I just had to start with thin socks and start working my way up.

Waiting for mine in W&C Tan Oiled Latigo. I have been worried about the size. My other Parkhurst 602's are either 8.5 or 9. 8.5 for the dressier ones with thin socks and 9 for wearing thicker socks. I thought I remember Andrew saying we might want to go up half size for these, so I went with 9. I wasnt expecting you to say they felt roomier though. I hope 9 is ok. I have always wanted some Nicks but have been afraid of a 9 month wait to find they dont fit. Fingers crossed.

My feet hurt looking at that last...I hate the concept of dressy pointy toes...the HNW is too narrow, the Parkhurst must also be too narrow...It took three days of off and on stretching to get my pinky toe from getting crushed. Rumor has it they will be able to use DHL for shipping and save international buyers.

I don’t feel different in my Nicks Robert. Bootmakers seem to have enough nous to work lasts by varying toe lengths, instep volumes and arch heights to fit the same foot into different lasts. You’d be surprised pointy toe boots don’t cramp your toes.

The reason that the PNW boot makers are connected in the way they are, will be because the businesses are small and the skills are very specialised and niche. There's not going to be a large pool of workers who know and understand the business of producing these boots and not a large number of people purchasing them outside specialised workers and the weird people who frequent channels such as this. In USA alone, two and a half BILLION shoes and boots were sold in 2017. I don't know how much of that market the PNW makers in total have but I'd be very surprised if it exceeded more than a few hundredths of a percent.
