underwaterseas I was feeling the same way about having Phylicia! Like most Actress as good as she is, do not like having there names attached to Mediocre films! From the script and the acting I imagined she thought it would be Great! I bet she had no idea the final editing, and cinematography would be inexperienced, cheap, and the production would of been all done by Tyler with no input from others!!!! Had she known....

That is a slap in the face to your fans to give them less than mediocre movies and say it's for them as if they don't deserve quality work from him. They work with not even a forth of the budget Tyler has but has put out great content. Tyler continues to put out mediocre movies. Plots that are not to par and does a disservice to black women. He needs to hire writers who can put out great work and portray the black community in a more realistic light. Black people are not a monolith, we are complex and extraordinary.

Yes. The idea had a lot of potential. But the delivery certainly fell flat.

This review was funny af, but, you hit it right on the nose. I liked the movie actually, however, Tyler can do better. He needs more than 5 days and he needs other writers. Even if he wants to write the script himself, he needs someone to check over it for him. Hell, writers have proofreaders and editors for a reason. Some of it wasn’t realistic, especially for black folks.

This movie was trash and that plot wasn’t all that! Now, the movie “The Others”, THAT was a plot twist.

jadrie eirdaj Hell NO.. I’m just comparing the two. People are acting like the plot twist was something SO DIFFERENT. We’ve seen in before.

jadrie eirdaj No, it wasn’t a T Perry movie. It stars Nicole Kidman. Watch the movie, you won’t be disappointed.

Kinyetta Brown Sugar M. People are tripping about the plot twist bc it’s the first time Tyler has done that. That twist was predictable af.

That main actress has typecast herself so badly. All she plays is the wow-is-me, Jesus save me, help-me-lawd characters. I don’t even think I can take her serious in any other kind of role at this point. She must get tired of these roles.

Thank you soooooo much for pointing out how important continuity is! Dude has been doing movies too long and worked with too many top notch actors for the poor execution of this movie to even exist. I was already annoyed 30min in but when he showed that woman in the shower with her damn wig on!!!!😩 Tell me where are the black women who do that?! You showed that one in 3 different wigs within 10min then in the shower with one of them on???
