Over here in Sikhiraphum district, we have had several rain storms since I have been here in the last 8 days. There are times when everywhere else gets rain but misses us. The rice is cut for two reasons. for feeding the cattle and to make the rice com back stronger. As for the Lillie's, are they getting the nutrients they need to live? Fish produce ammonia, bacteria convert the ammonia to nitrites, a second bacteria convert the nitrites to nitrates, and the plants require the nitrates to grow.

No filtering of the water so maybe just needs some time to create that ecosystem. Considering your comments, I'll try one more time if this fails.

The water lily goes into a pond and them grows from the bottom of the pond. So it is growing in dirt and fish poo, not the clean bottom of a glass. Maybe get a bit of pond muck and try growing them in that? Just an observation.

They are in a plastic container with pond muck in it. Someone suggested the water was too fresh and lacking nutrients. Will see now that the water has had fish, feed, poo in it for a couple weeks. That pond muck I used the first time seemed vary rancid and as I said, I was worried about the effect on the fish. I will try pond muck again but from a different source next attempt. Thanks

We give our coconut trees salt every 4 months

Just regular Sodium Chloride. We had drove to an area by Udon Thani (Ban Dong) where they have salt fields and bought a few big bags . My wife had done some reading how to care for coconut trees and increasing production. It really makes sense lots of coconut trees that thrive around the beach etc.
