Firstly, these riffs are sick Jon. Getting some In Flames vibes for sure. Secondly, this amp sounds so sick! Love the simple platform yet still featured enough to get some killer sounds. DI out should be in all amps, I love this feature. Well done Jon per usual!

Best Amp I have ever owned and I currently own Fender Blues Deluxe Reverb, A Fender Twin Reverb 212, Marshall TSL 212 Combo - The fenders have a clean tone that I can't quite hit with the Hughes and Kettner but I can get very close.... but then ALL the other tones and the DI Red Box make this my go to amp and if I could only own one amp this would be the one.....

You prove that speakers make or break an amp. No matter what amp you use you make it sound good in a mix. Main thing a amp gives is just the texture for the sound.

It sounds better in the shots where I am not seeing the amp. Sounds great, looks gawdy. LOL I wonder how they sound with an overdrive boost. Probably not necessary with this amp but I'm still curious. But I can't say i like the lit up style. Can that light be turned off?

Your reviews are always super well done! Never get bored of your videos :) I remember you mentioning the grandmeister was supposed to be the same amp with effects but you noted they were differently voiced. Could you elaborate a bit on how they differ? From what I heard through my headphones the TM has a bit more open sounding crunch and high gain sound but I could be wrong.

I have the chance to get one for 525. I always associated it with clean and crunch tones, but then I got Audio Assaults sim of it, and with the lead boost on, it gets quite hi-gain sounding. I imagine my pedals can help tighten it up and will have the front slammed harder to push it more too.

Are you playing the drums? Sometimes they sound more programmed than others but this time they sound more real especially the balloon fall from the symbol taps that you did right at the beginning! Thanks for your reviews.........been going back and forward between this and a PRS MT15 but think I have made my decision and about to pull the trigger on one of these but was wondering for context whether you recall if you had this connected to a speaker at 40w while recording or whether this sound is achievable in the "no speaker" mode with only 2 of the power amp tubes engaged. Obviously it was run DI because you used IRs but I am unclear on whether the power soak settings have any real effect on the results with the DI.

Hi Jon, I am deciding between this and a GM Deluxe 40, would you say you'd miss the Ultra Channel, I'm not bothered about on board effects or midi or anything like that, I like to go anywhere between clean stuff to blues to alt rock, rock, grunge to metal. Alternatively how would you compare these options to the new HT50 MkIII from blackstar? Thanks!

(GM40) Do you find that the switching presets can go from a low volume to a terrible super loud volume, I found changing from a clean preset to ultra preset on some banks can blast you to the point I worry about my speaker. This is with master volume 10% setting. Maybe it just my unit but would be nice to hear this is normal. ----Great Playing!

I had the H&K 25th anniversary 20w 1x12 EL84 class A combo. Does the tubemeister have a similar tone? The only reason I got rid of it was lack of headroom for cleans for Jams, but it was my absolute favorite amp ever.

I bought this amp last week, and I'm satisfied with the sound, but I'm getting awful feedback. I mainly tested at 5w, lead master and gain are both at 12 o' clock. I also own a Triamp, and at the same volume as the Tubemeister, I can keep it under control perfectly by just muting my strings. That really doesn't work with my Tubemeister. Any advice? I would have liked less produced "raw" tones. You make every amp sound the same with the mixing. I don't get what is the point with heavy mixing since I don't think any serious musician gets this amp for studio recording. I think most people would like to hear how it sounds straight from the speakers if they are considering buying this amp. Great amp though for practicing and nice tones for the money ( I have a Tubemeister 36).
