Professor Justin Yerbury is a celebrated molecular biologist who is making significant contributions to better understand motor neurone disease (MND).
Justin was inspired to join the research effort after discovering a family history of the disease and was already leading a research team when he was diagnosed with MND himself in 2016.
Despite his own battle with the disease, he continues to lead his team at the University of Wollongong (UOW) towards finding a cure.
This webinar is an opportunity for Justin’s family, friends and peers to acknowledge and celebrate his significant achievements of which there have been many. Research currently happening in the MND space along with hopes for the future of treatment will be discussed. Justin’s team and colleagues will also share snippets from their own research collaboration with him. You will also hear about Justin’s next exciting endeavour, a book coming out later this year, Fighting Fate.
