DC 8 and the 707 were planes way too good planes served passenger & cargo they were all over the world airbus didn't exist in that era these planes are so good that in 2023 they are some flying ✈️✈️ here in Colombia we have DC 3 & 727 going places thanks for this video I lived in Miami in the late 70s till the 90s I spotted planes near the perimeter old days uff saw all those classics planes and airlines that don't exist no more

ARCA colombia (Aerovias Colombianas) was, until its demise in January 1997, another Colombian cargo carriers. The airline had been in operations since 1956 from its base in Bogotá capital of Colombia country, and was another to choose the McDonnell Douglas DC-8-50s

C-5 may not be a commercial airliner, but at least it is a 4-engine airplane... A330 is not even that! Maybe it was a typo; maybe he meant to type A340.

Such a great video, nothing at all like plane spotting today. There's DC8's, 707's, wide-body's, tri-jets, T-tails, 4-engine jets. All there is these days are twins on the wings with conventional tails...yawwwwn!

ram air intakes for A/C system. Most of the 8's had them but we're eliminated on re-engined dash 70 series.

I'd say an aircraft that is able to complete over 30 years of safe flying is a complete success. It must be hard for all the Dc10 haters out there to watch all those fed ex converted dc10-md11 landing everyday. Yes, no one will ever take the title of queen of the skies from the B747, but it's hard to argue the success of the Dc10/md 11. Kinda ironic Boeing bought McDonnel Douglas.
