Thanks guys for look back, being born and raised in Miami spent many an hour at MIA, even when corrosion corner was in full swing, DC-4s 6s and 7s Lockheed Constellations by the dozens all cargo, this being in the 1970s, Now, I'm a retired Commercial pilot and all those old birds are history and like me never to be seen or heard from again...Those old planes served us well...

Ryan, your videos continue to leave me in awe. I look forward to whatever you've recently uploaded every time I log on. THANKS so much. I have to comment on the Aeronica 707 on take-off at 4:45 - that is a truly excellent few moments - the plane was one of the few 707-120s in commercial service at the time, and all the aircraft taxiing nearby during takeoff are also fellow classic Boeings (except perhaps the 767-200...but maybe even that qualifies as "classic" now?). Outstanding Ryan!

Great footage, I only got to Miami in 1990 but wow it was so great - so many 707's, DC-8's, 727's, DC-6's, and even a couple of Connies. Love all those freight birds - Florida West, Southern Air Transport, Burlington Air Express, Millon Air, Fine Air, Aerial Transit, Trans-Air Link, etc, plus local goodies like Eastern, Braniff and Rich International along with all the major US and European carriers. And also of course, those wonderful Latin and South American carriers - Ecuatoriana, Saeta, Guyana Airways, Tan Sahsa, Aeronica, Copa Panama, BWIA, Mexicana, Aero Mexico, Lan Chile, Avensa, Servivensa, Aero Peru, Faucett, Dominicana, Avianca, Air Jamaica, Bahamasair, Tampa Colombia, Aerolineas Argentinas, Aerolineas Uruguayas, JD Valenciana, Fast Air, Taesa, Haiti Trans Air, Haiti Air Freight, Arca Colombia, AECA Cargo, Zuliana, Aeropostal, Aerochago, AMSA, and the wonderfully-named Agro Air!! Best spotting days ever and great memories!! Also Fort Lauderdale International, Opa Locka, and New Tamiami just down the road with more goodies such as C46's, CV440's, G73 Mallard's, DC-3's, DC-4, DC-6's, DC-7, and a Lord's Airline CV990.

9:08 A 737-200 with un-hushed JT8Ds! The crackle is a dead giveaway that there is now hush kit ,as well as the exhaust traveling Mach 1. I wish nowadays 727s ,737-200s and DC-9s were more common and un-hushed. Some other countries still have them un-hushed though.

Back when the higher pitched low-bypass engines still dominated civil aviation! Modern jets are much lower in pitch, they make a thunderous roaring sound rather than a loud hissing sound like jets before the start of the 21st century.

Are you sure this was ‘91? I honestly thought there’d be more 737 classics, MD80s, A300s, 747s, and DC-10s . Those 707s, the DC-6, and that Connie definitely makes the footage seem more like from the 70s .

My aunt and uncle lived in Meridian Miss in the late 60s-early 70s. I lived in Birmingham Al. I would go spend a month or so with them from about 8 yrs old to I think 12. I would fly Southern Airways Convair 330 there and back. I think the ticket round trip cost about $20. It's funny but for about 3 yrs in a row, had the same flight attendant. She would put me in the window looking over the engine. It was cool to watch them crank that old girl and flames would shoot out. Great times!!
