A Few Favorites From DC Snowboards For 2021

Bought the control model after wearing a pair of DC's for the past 10+ years. Super happy with the weight which is almost half of my old pair and feel and comfort of the boot after a long day of riding After 2 times up this season Im Still trying to dial in the dual BOA system for the best fit as my old DC's had a single BOA. I have noticed the BOA's pop loose a few times and not sure what caused it.

Try pulling the inner cuff of your pants down a little further. 9 times out of 10 when the BOA is popping its the inner cuff getting under the dial and popping it loose.

@@thehouse I tuck the pant cuff into the boot between inner liner and shell of the boot so I dont think that is the cause.

Boards are sick but we didn't have them at the time this video was shot. Shuksans are definitely sick as well, no arguments there.

@Pinky the Mega is still a rad board, similar to yours but a little lighter and poppier!

The DC t rice boot looks the slimmest and smallest footprint? I have a 2022 libtech 159 T rice pro board 25.9cm width and you already recommended size medium 2022 bent metal transfer bindings for my size 11. Would you recommend that boot or what other small footprint medium to stiff boa boots should I look at for all mountain and powder tree runs? Thanks in advance.

I’m a big fan of the 32 TM2 myself, but you could also check out the Burton Photon. Just about any boot in that similar price range will we pretty comparable

Are there any major differences between the judge and Trice model?

For sure, the T.Rice has an upgraded outsole, the super fabric upper with lace cover and it is a stiffer/sturdier construction.

Can you tell me the difference between the Burton Photon vs. the DC Control in terms of fit?

It really depends on you foot. Everyone's feet are shaped different and so are the boots so you really need to try them on yourself side by side to figure that out.

Really struggling to find boots to fit this season without pain?, do dc come up big or small in fit?. Also I've never used a boa closer system, I've heard stories of them snapping in the lift line when someones steel edge accidently hits the steel cable in the boa true or false ??. Keep up the good work really enjoy the reviews.

DC’s are very true to size. I’m a 10.5 in shoes and 10.5 in DC boots. As fir the cables snapping it’s not really true. If you rest your sharp steel edge of your board on your boots yeah it’s going to destroy ALL boots over time but not right away. Trick is to put your tie under your binding heel loop and then your boot never get cut up.

Get them you wont be disappointed your normal shoes size will be your boot size with DC best boot I ever put on so far and i been to REI and tried a bunch of boots.

Im looking at getting new boots,got new mega merc, im thinking either dc travis rice boot or vans infuse boot. What would you prefer or say is better?

Both boots are good it just depends on what kind of feel you want. The T.Rice boot is a much stiffer boot than the Infuse. If you want a super quick feel edge to edge go with the T.Rice. If you want a little smoother feel go for the Infuse.

@@thehouse i was thinking infuse bc it can be tied and done up to be a stiff boot and can take out tongue pieces for softer feel to for more park soft feel

@@thehouse do you know how true to size. Both boots are to shoe size. No way around me has snowboard boots in dc or vans.

@@Baerrrr83 Both are pretty true to size. I'm a 10.5 in most shoes and the DC and Vans boots both fit me in a 10.5

Why doesn’t DC make a boot like this just for everyday winter. I hate the low tops/mids and the version of high they have. I’m guessing these boots wouldn’t suffice to use as an everyday boot?!

Yeah, these are definitely snowboard boots and would be a little stiff and awkward to walk around in compared to a casual winter boot.
