I owned a 1978 Nicki Lauda edition and it was an expensive pain in the ass, but It was the most fun to drive of all the different cars I've owned in the last 40 years. Only Alfa owners know what I am talking about. BTW, Nice Spider!!!

I owned a pristine 69 spider for 40÷ years. Finally sold to make garage space for my ALFA 4C LE coupe. Wish I was able to keep both. I wouldn't have modified mine like this but to each their own. ALFAs have always been special...works of art.

The song is great and very typical for romantic and funny Alfa Duetto, John the new design creation is great, your car need a new battery or sistem of charge is poor and an inspection for eletric starter inspec. to brushes and bushs it will make a lot difference also maybe the contact of distribuition need replace or out of ignition point . I like your car congratulatíons per service of restauration. I have one Duetto in Brazil and since 1979 I married with her and am very field, kkkkk

I had a 1969 Alfa Spider, same color as yours, metallic silver with Burgandy canvas top, Turbina wheels, black interior, 1750cc. It was faster then a 2 liter.

Yes, the later 2 liter (1962cc) was just a "commercial" idea to compete in the 2-liter "European" business. The result was an engine with same power but a little less "verve".

@@Maloenton-Agency No, he just bought ALFA (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) in Milano and renamed it Alfa Romeo. And the company always was in Milano, so Romeo's origin is irrelevant. Anyway, playing Neapolitan trad music for any Italian car is like playing bagpipes for any British car.

@@Maloenton-Agency The fact that ALFA was originally the Italian Darracq in Napoli doesn't mean it is a Neapolitan marque. Nicola Romeo bought it when already re-founded in Milano and NOBODY in Italy ever considered it anything else than a Milanese marque. As you can read from its history, the company shifted to Milano in 1906 and virtually closed in 1909. Then, ALFA was actually founded in 1910 as a brand new company only using the old company's hardware. Just look at Alfa Romeo's logo. Do you know what it is? It's the red-white emblem of Milano together with the mythical "biscione" (big snake), emblem of the Visconti, rulers of Milano in XIII-XV century. Please do not use that ultra-thin prehistoric connection with Napoli to justify the fact that EVERY stupid non-Italian program uses "pizza music" every time there is something Italian. I Remember Wheeler Dealers using "pizza music" when dealing with a Fiat 500 and with a Fiat Dino. Only (ignorant) foreign tourists consider that music "Italian" and not just Neapolitan and surely you can hear it in Italy... only in places aiming at mass tourism

I owned one 68 duetto since 1979 and I know this car to much , I make all service necessary of maintenance in my home is very simple mechanich and have in market all informations and manualss disposable include in Internet you can down manual and tolerances, measurements, part numbers of parts and the better quanty of store with New and used parts for salé, Alfas are the Champions tô olds and new parts for salé.
