Nice to see you Mike. You look very comfortable. I really like the way you painted your canoe 🛶. I have a number of Hudson Bay blankets. They are very warm and durable. I have made a few captes out of them in the past but ended up selling them. I am jealous of your trip to the Upper Peninsula. Stay safe and have fun my friend. Cheers Ron

Let me get this straight: A Cheesehead in Green Bay is drinking Irish Whiskey and a Texas beer. A REAL Cheesehead in the old days would have a brandy and a Leinenkugel or Point beer. Great video, Chief. Thanks.

Hiyas Mike mate, A very nice rendering of the Hudson Bay colors on the canoe. A nice change from the institutional, regulation green canoe. For some reason, hearing the name Hudson, makes me think of Holme's landlady Mrs. Hudson. I've thoroughly enjoyed my visits to the U.P., it's so incredibly beautiful there. Safe travels, great canoeing and serene smokes. Gary
@oldmanthingspipesАй бұрын
Hi Gary! I never thought of Mrs Hudson. Isn’t that funny. Yeah I thought I want to make the canoe my own. I bought the canoe with the money my dad left me when he died. So I wanted it special. Cheers my fun. We go on the 15th KPO Mike

Right across the Columbia River from Portland Or. In Vsncouver WA. There is Fort Vsncouver. It is a reconstruction of the Hudson's Bay NW headquarters. Th HB Chief Factor John McGloughlin and the military garrison. It is a great place to visit . I paddled all around the NW in my 16ft Graumann aluminum canoe. People scoffed at it, but I would just paddle past them and leave them behind. Have a great trip!
